God, what a shitty signup process. Different login names and "nicknames"? And they can't be the same? And you can't have a nickname already taken? Then what's the point of nicknames? :x
Wow, those in-game Witch Hunter models are a bit weird. Am I alone in thinking that those pistols are freaking huge?
It looks like a sawed off musket more than a pistol.

That Barnett interview was fantastic. I'm glad to see an MMO developer be so "human" in an interview like that instead of regurgitating a bullet point list of information we already know.

I wonder if greenskins can do other chaos and dark elf public quests.

Despite my better judgment, I answered Yes to the working in the industry.
I'm going to get the shaft, aren't I?
I'm not sure if I answered that correctly. Do you work in the industry if you work for a company that happens to have competely unrelated divisions that may or may not publish games?
I don't know if that automatically disqualifies your or not.
I answered yes as well. I work for a computer software company that has absolutely nothing to do with games. If it was an automatic disqualifier though, I don't think it would be in there as a question.
In reality, my own experience with documenting and QA-ing software makes me a better candidate as a beta tester.
(I never got a confirmation email. I may need to sign up again.)
Out of curiosity, why might having links to the industry serve as a disqualifier for beta testing applications?
I don't imagine they want everyone at blizzard in the beta.

The EA Mythic team would like to thank all of the guilds forthe overwhelming response! We received over 10,000 eligible guild applications and we are now making our selections. Members of the WAR Community Team will be contacting invited guilds shortly with details on how to get into the Closed Beta.
Closed Beta testers will be selected based on a variety of factors, including computer system specs, game experience, and community involvement. The Closed Beta is limited to players 18 years of age or older, and requires the acceptance of our Beta Test Agreement.
I can't believe with all the lurking I've done that I forgot about this thread entirely. I still need to throw my app up on the Six Mouths forum! I hope it isn't too late. Hopefully I can get in on this beta, will be my first foray in to the Warhammer Universe, and I'm really looking forward to it.

So does that mean if I'm a Blizzard employee I can't do it? I may have referenced that. Time to reapply.

It's bad enough Warcraft copied WH content to begin with, now you're going to steal the MMO content too?

Oh snap!
'Cause I'm sure one individual MMO fan who happens to be employed by Blizzard will be part of some nefarious plot to lift further stylistic choices from WAR.
Hell, I bet Mythic would outright give Andy C an invite, just 'cause of his past contributions to all things GW.
I tried to browse through Liber Chaotica last night for something to do. I always wonder why Tzeentch was left till last in the book. The poor author has gone all gibbery insanity by the time he gets to it, and trying to understand the changer of ways just sends him over the edge.

It's all part of Lord Tzeentch's plan.

Letting them know that I alpha/beta'd WoW/expansion, Shadowbane and DAoC because of industry links is a boon, not a curse.
However, on the other hand, being a dungeon/zone developer for a new Warcraft expansion would probably keep me out.
(I'm not either of these things, its just an example)
To hell with the size of the gun, look at the size of those chops!
I'm just a lowly contracted tester! That should be a good thing! Oh well..
/goes to apply again...
