I'm fairly sure I could never play EQ1 again, but I enjoyed the screenshots because it reminded me of the first great demonstration of hardcore gnome ownage in a game. WoW followed it up admirably, but man I still have a soft spot for those awesome little fuckers in EQ1.
Trolls also owned in EQ1, but gnomes are on a completely different level.
I for one want my own Dreadnought set, although i'm not sure about whether i'd want a recolouring. What would you recolour it in to? Purple? Brown? Meh...
Well, Shaman and Warrior sets will stay the same. Paladins, however, will sport a delightful fuschia when heading into battle.

Lucas's Franklin Badge reflected the lightning back!

If you want the dreadnaught set why not try to get some people for a farewell to Naxx summer tour and head start? on learning it when it comes out again?

That looks beautiful indeed. It's such a shame shorelines still look silly, though, I'm betting a cookie that that will be the next development in graphics.
Oh, so it was you who we grouped with last night! You had an awesome rifle.

Sorry if I ever got you killed due to running around and getting out of SK range, I'm used to coordinating shit with voice chat and don't even see text chat when fighting. Tunnel vision ahoy.

Oh hey! That was a pretty fun team. I think I may have died, but that was from over-excited attempted gassings rather than de-lackeying.
As for you Synth; you have no right discussing decency with an AV/Signature combo like that. Who is the real monster here?
I assume that was posted as an example of good water.
It's a very nice texture, and possibly reflection work (never played SL, so I've never seen it in motion), but it suffers from both a total lack of depth (textures will only carry a single plane so far) and the age-old shoreline issue. It reminds me a lot of Morrowind, which I seem to remember having amazing water - for 2001.
SLers have never been outside dude, they don't know what tree goes where.
Dammit, you stole my joke.
And yes, while it is a plane, they have done a nice ass job with it. That's an old screenshot and now the water is a bit more see thru closer to shore so it will blend in a bit better. But the reflections and everything are so pretty and nice. I love seeing the stars reflect off of it too, that's really a nice touch.
It's still in the box I bought a week ago so it's temptation has failed so far
If it showed interest in someone other than Mr Wickham then maybe it would have my interest

It was such a great game. I almost want to make a thread about it, but I guess nostalgia doesn't really constitute legitimate thread basis.
water in mmos always just looks like the beach is the edge of a tupperware container with water in it
but with mmorpg there's a certain amount of graphics you gotta sacrifice for playability
Before!
After!

The furry has to have something to urinate on.

The second part had a nice effect as well, since before hand there's souls floating into the center.
So the Dark Moon Faire was outside Shat.. neat cannon.
