I was there March of 2009. Last time I was there I was like 8 or so, which meant I didn't really remember details but I could tell the museum hadn't been updated since then. While nominally still cool it desperately needs to be updated.

wh-what the fuck? this thread, like, magically appeared for me. on the second page, no less. goddamn i'm blind sometimes.

<3 dru, except for the malkovich thing, my penis recoiled in horror and confusion.

love to see you guys talk on the subject of NASA. to see what both sides of the argument of space travel have to say. it's also seeing the things you aren't saying about the work they do. you'll notice the discussion always gravitates to a mission to mars, then ISS, then the far moons, and the question of necessity. don't forget the things we do in our own front yard!

there's can be no doubt about what we learn from earth observation. coupled with the work from our most recent solar laboratories and telescope platforms, the technology we're advancing will make the earth a safer place to live in so many ways. and using that knowledge in conjunction with the search for extrasolar planets will be of the most benefit as we come to the point that we can affect the global climate in positive ways.

hahaha I was just watching some documentary on noah's ark conspiracy theories and shit

this creationist was standing beside what was obviously a basalt protrusion (it had quartz bands and shit) and was slapping, going on about how it was petrified wood from a support beam of the ark and I just could not stop laughing. He was so serious! He believes that shit! Hilarious.

I know this is late, but did I ever tell you about the guy on my Facebook who says he's handled an actual piece of Noah's ark? The local Creationist museum wanted his father's help doing something to it for analyzing or some such shit, to see if it's the real deal, and they all think it is. Or something, I don't know.
