Only because he barely tells you that the first half of the movie is a dream.
is that what was happening?
I don't fanatically read all those weird David Lynch dissection sites, but just based on the specific cues in the movie, his general themes, and some of the stuff in the TV pilot, it seems like the best read of the major plot.
although, now I think of it
it's not like the second half of the movie made any more sense than the first
I am pretty sure I first watched on this forum when someone linked it
It was a made for TV movie I think, and it was just a guy in a room, and people would come in and talk to him and tell him to wait or whatever
at one point he woke up and there was some kind of party going on in the room
It was just very strange

A Boy and His Dog has a mindfuck ending.

doug got a super shift in art, story, and characters after it moved to.. abc was it?
edit was it disney?
rugrats got a few movies and slowly degraded and then went away for a while and then we had to fucking deal with their stupid asses as preteens? no thanks

Yeah Rugrats was good until that Asian Girl.
I would say Dill was the point where it started getting shitty
they had toilet humor before but it was used sparingly
but then they introduced a character who really couldn't do anything but toilet humor
I was still pretty young when the first Rugrats movie came out, young enough to still be able to watch such things and it not be weird
Our parents took us to see some mother family or kid movie that was out at the time but it was sold out so we suggested they take us to see the Rugrats movie instead
When we got out my dad went "you two owe us for that" and I was like "yes, sorry, I absolutely do"
"Well, I'd certainly say she had marvelous judgment, Albert, if not particularly good taste."
Man, I thought the ending was the least mindfuck part of it. It made way more sense ending up back where they started compared to all of the other shit they went through.

The Eye. That movie was kind of bizarre. I'm talking about the OG version, not the Jessica Alba remake.
The only reason this movie is even marginally watchable is because of Michael C. Hall.
Remember that?
Rei?
The girl he wants to schtup?
Ha ha ha.
Wow
I still have a wallscroll with rei and asuka being all sensual from when i was like 15
THEY ARE YOUNG
These are facts.
pretty much
all the action scenes are so bland, too
run and shoot and run and gritsplosion, rinse and repeat
although, now I think of it

I can't find that movie

I said it wasn't as bad as I thought.
It was worth wasting my time as opposed to being a shitpile I had to turn off in the first few minutes.
the fuck how can you be trapped in math?
I don't think I've ever been in more disbelief with an ending than when I was young and saw this
Movies just didn't end like that
I remember there being a movie on IFC one time
Buffalo 66 I think it was called
where some dude kidnapped a woman and forced her to pretend to be his girlfriend when he went to visit his parents for thanksgiving
I dunno why I just thought of that movie
but I did
and decided I would like to share

Yeah Rugrats was good until that Asian Girl.
it was always weird when it hit me that I was older than some cartoon character
like when I turned four it was really strange that I was older than the entire main cast of Rugrats

I like the episode where it is like a western showdown.
Hannukah with Dede's parents
Christmas at their house
then Kwaanza at Susie's
does Islam have a December holiday? if so how the heck did they manage to miss it

NO
I did this a lot to my family.
I said the same thing for the Doug movie infact.
I even thought it was bad and I was like 8 or 9.
