Also hilarious sight of the day: Tryndamere laning with Mordekaiser.
And by hilarious I mean completely sad and pathetic. Poor guy got shut down so hard the game went on for an hour and despite that he was less than a threat than my Tristana was.

As in they were partners and the Mord ate all his gold?
EDIT: I hate it when a high level carries a low level, just because they always act like a pretentious douche bag. When I find them I spend most of the game hunting them down and if they're on our team I won't hesitate to tell the other team where they are.

As in they were partners and the Mord ate all his gold, plus it didn't help that I was laning against him and just killed him over and over and over. What happened way too often was he thought he was safe at low health behind Morde, but then ROCKET JUMP in for the kill, then ROCKET JUMP back out away from an angry morde.
Just to give you an idea, he got his first kill 30 minutes into the game and ended up with something like 5/17/whatever. I got to admit late game was decided by the tanks on each team (They only had Morde, we had both Amumu and Singed), but there was something cathartic in seeing Tryn try to catch a squishy and getting flinged out of position while Morde couldn't do anything to the little problem of me critting Morgana/LeBlanc over and over and over.

Late game is usually decided by the tanks it seems. I play pretty much purely high dps carries/nukers and it doesn't matter how much damage I can put out if there aren't some people up front to eat the shit for me.
Just had an Annie swear up and down that Lich Bane was good for her. Solo que ages me.
I just lost with a team of 5 against a team of 4. At over 50 minutes, our Sona and our Morgana were still level 15. So depressing.

Played my first game as Kayle today, don't know what to think of her. (Team fed Yi early and often, game oveeeeeeer.) Don't think my strategy of leveling E most was the best choice. =(
Also played my first game as Gragas, which was amusing, but somewhat painful laning against Olaf with maxed Reckless Swing.
I don't know what happen but Leblanc stinks, her skillshot is slow and touchy, her blink does not go through walls reliably and her combo makes no sense. Without the imbalanced ratios pre-fix she is not well put together.
Like the combo, well I could silence and root someone (redundant largely), or I could silence and jump on top of them (why are you hitting me ow ow), or I could double silence bomb them and then try to trigger the damage wih said shitty skillshot (which snags creeps like its a frickin magnet) or blink.
Maybe I'll try to double chain someone and root them for an extra 0.25 seconds while doing crap damage. Also the double blink option is really only good for a chance last hit on a hero or escaping, but any number of things can do that, two of the blinks barely outdistance a kassadin riftwalk. It just feels poorly designed.
Her attack animation is tight but the low damage means in a competitive lane she has just turrible farming mechanics. The best option being to use your blink on the caster minions after a couple shots, but then you are having a mild heart attack from using your escape move to farm.
Also she looks like a cirque du soleil reject and I want my points back.
I got all excited reading about another AP assasain character but her gimped ratios make this suck.
Why does Galio clearly outburst you when he's built like a brick shathouse, for example.
How do I build Mundo to not do tiny baby damage? I've been building his as a tank this week but I feel like I could be doing so much more.
Build him dual purpose items, like Frozen Hammer, in significant part.
My ending lineup for mundo may look like: Wriggles, Merc Treads, Starks, Frozen Hammer, TriForce, Spirit Visage (jungled, hence the wriggle's). This will differ slightly based on enemy team comp.
I recommend learning how to jungle with him if you have not already. You always want a jungle, and he's pretty decent at it (start at smaller golems with vamp scepter + 1 HP is my current technique).
I am torn between buying Jax now, or saving up some more for Malzahar.
I will have to sleep on this.
as someone who is "very excellent" I can say that I have had about 30 good games as malz to every 1 good game I've had as jax
The planets need to align for jax to do great, malz just needs to grab middle and hit level 6 (or earlier if they are dumb and are like "he has his voidling ready... better run in for the auto-attack battle")
I can sorta see this working, but like with Nasus I can't imagine he's anything but worthless but for his ult midgame
It works well.
I went with vagrant_winds' philonasus build, sort of.
x2 Charms + 3 HP
Stone (Teleport)
Stone + Boots 1 + Red Elixir (Teleport)
I guess it's not a true philo build because I started building items after this. The money was pouring in the three games I've done thus far, and didn't feel the need to continue to build more stones. (The game with TF was hilarious for farming.)
Not really noticing a significant drop-off in damage when it comes to mid-game. With Raise Morale + Elixer, his Parrley is hitting pretty hard, regardless if it crits or not. An early B.F. sword was hysterically easy to get in no time, as I never had to leave the lane while teleport was down.

I personally don't think that he's a really good jungler compared to other junglers. Doable but there are better champions. He is probably better at laning as well.
i mean, i have two quintessence spots- do more show up as i level
and do any more changes occur as i level
By the time you hit 30 you will have all 9 slots open for seals, glyphs, and marks and your third quint slot will open up.
Basically you just buy runes with IP, usually buy runes that compliment the champ you play the most or just buy runes to make generic pages for DPS/Tank/Mage classes. Which ever floats your boat

He's not the best (who, IMHO, is WW), but he's definitely good enough to be over the "Should he jungle if no one else is," bar.

It always bothers me when I see a Veigar start with Dark Matter and then get Event Horizon and completely skip Baleful Strikes which helps Veigar become a bad ass. Or when a Veigar does start with Baleful Strikes but uses it to "harass" instead of last hit for AP. I don't get it, do they not read what the abilities do?

(edit) it doesn't really matter how you build Veigar, he has major issues. he can turn out to be effective, but in my experience that's rare
What major issues does Veigar have? He has always seemed alright to me if played well.
And I really don't think a Veigar that starts with Dark Matter will ever be as effective at any point in the game as a Veigar who takes Baleful Strikes and last hits with it. Not only do they make more gold (because Dark Matter takes quite a lot of AP to 1 shot minion waves) but he also has a higher amount of AP and will level faster.
Also, Dark Matter is far less effective in harassing enemies then Baleful Strikes, assuming you want to harass and not last hit for AP, at a certain point in laning phase it becomes less important to last hit minions for AP.

despite the effectiveness of his stun, he simply doesn't bring as much as most casters to a teamfight. his AOE is a very small one that almost never hits more than one champion, and his other attacks are purely single-target. unless a veigar does very well and snowballs, he can take out at most one enemy target, and then is just a high-cooldown stun
it's just not enough, in my experience, and he usually brings down a team
(edit) this could change rapidly and dramatically if they ever fix the AOE metagame
I've never had anything but really bad experiences jungling as mundo
He's just way too squishy and eats his own HP without having anything but item-based life return
Except his passive and his ult?
Passive, who knows. Ultimate, you have to trudge through five levels before you get it.
His passive is awesome. It's just under Garen's passive in awesomeness, except it's on ALL THE TIME. And the fact you post 'Who knows' about his passive is just makes you look ignorant of that particular character. Don't talk bad about it until you've played extensively with him.

Think queueing with 4 is good enough? Wrong. One person does poorly due to being new, then our pubber goes 0/4 and AFKs for the loss.
Also, Sona is still cheating. That should be on every page, IMHO.
