Wasn't someone looking for Remnant Armor?

If so, there is some on a dead prospector, along with his dead T-51b power armor wearing girlfriend. They're dead because they thought they could kill 16 Deathclaws and their 2 Mother Deathclaws. Man were they wrong.

Anyway, the location is really odd. Due East of Ranger Station Echo, across lake mead. Venture at your own risk.

Hmm well I went to the plateau and one shotted all the deathclaws but can't find the people you're talking about?

[edit] Okay I looked up a video and the people just aren't there. But a laser gun is where they should be, so... Looks like Obsidian did their normal thing again and it's bugged.

So Cass just died when she walked over a plasma mine for some reason. I told her that if she didn't want me to eat her, she should say something. She didn't say anything and so I ate her.

    I should feel bad Y/N?

Incidentally, I don't think I've had a character yet without cannibal. It's just so damn convenient. Especially in Freeside. I do wonder if the NPCs ever think about why I drag people off into quiet corners and they find half eaten bodies later.

found a train station that has one room inside that you can't enter due to falling through the steps leading to the door. Fall through the world then pop back at the beginning of the tunnel, as many times as you like.

The rep system really doesn't work for me. I wear NCR armor constantly and yet the Khans were all "Hey buddy." Even when I killed a bunch of them and was "vilified" they still didn't react to me. So now I have alot of expensive guns to sell!

Also the Legion keeps switching my status from hated to vilified to shunned. And it rotates between these three states every time I kill one of them. *shrug*

I don't know if I will enjoy my hardcore run through since I am such a loot whore. It's shameful how many caps I have right now.

I'd like to try Hardcore if they removed ammo weight from the equation. That's really what's holding me back. I suppose I could go melee...

I like the idea of everything having weight in theory. I just know I'm gonna cry when I find myself holding only a handful of items and being maxed out due to ammo. Melee on hardcore sounds scary since stimpaks don't insta heal.

Gotta give it a whirl though.

As I said even before release and got it 100% right in the actual game, the ONLY thing that makes Hardcore mode remotely Hardcore in any manner is Ammo Weight. Food/Water/Sleep is easy to manage (you have an entire *lake* of Fresh water in this game). The only thing that can become difficult is ammo and especially if you're an energy weapons character (as MF cells weigh a considerable amount and high tier energy weapons chew through them like butter).

Without ammo weight it would be pointless (again as I predicted), because ammo weight is literally the most important part of it. Albeit it's grossly imbalanced towards guns users, because the best guns like Gobi, Anti-Materiel rifles and such have cheap, relatively low weight ammo. Best energy weapons like the plasma caster, the unique gauss and such have rarer ammo (compared to bullets) and it weighs more (0.10 per MF cell). Plus each shot chews through energy cells like butter.

I suppose the healing over time matters too, but only if you've got shitty medicine. With high medicine mashing stimpacks a few times easily lets you absorb even high end weapons DPS if you have decent armor.

This is really more of an annoyance than anything else. In reality my companions only die to them being tards like picking fights with Deathclaws (which they love to do) and the occasional plasma mine at low levels. To be honest after this playthrough, I am going to just ignore companions because they are so much hassle on hardcore it's not worth the extra inventory. They basically prevent me from playing on hard, because anything melee will demolish them (the difficulty I enjoy).

Okay, so since the Enclave armor obviously fell through the earth, or whateverthefuck, I've been trying to console it in.

It flat out doesn't work. In fact, it doesn't work for anything. For instance "player.additem ammo10mm doesn't do jack shit. It says that 'ammo10mm' is an invalid name or whatever (when I just looked up the ID in the GECK).

Anyone have any experience with this? I know the console work because I have to use it every now and then to restore my companions.

so your ref id for ammo is not 10mmammo or whatever. its a series of numbers and letters

How am I supposed to know the ID for a piece of equipment that is lost to the world (but should be there) then?

Also I just tried giving myself my own dropped armor through the console id that I moused over "ffooee11" or something like that, same error.

[edit] Okay, I got it. I wikied the ID. Why that's different than what's the GECK, who the hell knows. player.additem 1 100 did the trick.

OK I know this question's probably been asked a lot, but it's happened to me now.

Veronica has disappeared. I haven't seen her in a long time. Last place I remember her being there was around the strip. I fast traveled to Jack and Diane's drug mobile home and now she's gone.

How do I get her back? 360 version.

This game...it's starting to drag. I was having a great time with it, and I'm about 20 hours in. But questing around Freeside and The Strip, so many loading screens. Loading screens for everything. It's really killing my momentum. Whenever I have to go somewhere I start thinking about all the loading screens I'll have to sit through to get there.

Add in the fact that I'm dying more often because Veronica isn't around to help me....yeah things are going downhill.

Hmm... ever since Vault 22 there's been intermittent "slow motion" periods where everyone moves like they're trying to run through water or something. And it's even effecting things like reloading or bringing up the pipboy, which normally comes up so so fast I can barely even see the animation, is occasionally taking almost 2 seconds.

Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Companions who disappear will usually return to their recruitment location after a period of time, usually a week or so. Note that they might not reappear, and the time it takes might vary. It's a really annoying bug to run into.

I just now realized that the Cazadore-infested route into Red Rock Canyon is one of two ways into the area. I had been going down that road with my characters all this time. It was fun testing out how effective Pushy was on Cazadores despite me not having 100 Unarmed yet.

So I've started writing a mod to remove all the bullshit tiers and level scaling and dice rolling from certainvendors so that they have all the appropriate shit there every time they refresh their stock. Got it working for the Silver Rush, so now it's off to the Gunrunners and BoS and that should about cover it for traders worth a damn (I'll bet there's probably some dude with the Legion I have to edit too, but I'll save that until I do my Asshole run later).

Only thing that sucks is that apparently if you try to set the health of an object in the vendor's chest to a low level (or hell, maybe if you dick around with it at all) it won't show up in the trade menu for whatever reason so everything's gotta' be set at 100%. Still, better than fucking around with the RNG for something good (and make it so that certain items actually appear - I think I only ever found an Assault Carbine like TWICE in all 100+ hours I've played, both times from the same quest).

EDIT: Is it just me, or does it seem like there's an AWFUL lot of window creep in the GECK? The main entity selection window always seems to be riding up bit by bit until it covers the menu bar, and somehow the cell render and cell content windows have scootched their way up to the top-center section of the GECK despite that I don't touch them whatsoever.

I really feel like instead of increased damage, energy weapons just need an early Armor Piercing option. Radscorpions laugh at laser weapons, and you can run into them very early. By the time you get to Gauss Rifles/Tesla Cannons, Energy Weapons are absurdly powerful. I noticed you didn't change those, which is good.

I do think the gatling laser/RCW are lacking punch though. Really the problem is any rapid-fire weapons just suck completely against armor.
