This dog won't stop barking

The design of this neighborhood keeps me from finding where it's coming from. My dad, brother, and I have scanned the neighborhood individually and together. No luck.

I can run a fan, but there are times when I just want some pure quiet. Is there anything I can do? It used to be five or six dogs, but all but this one have mellowed out. But this one. Sometimes the other dogs in the neighborhood will bark every time it yips--I think they're trying to tell it to shut up. Very rare though.

It only seems to do it constantly when the weather gets cold.

I thought about putting a sign at the entrance to the subdivision saying "Your dog is driving me insane" and the URL of some site on dog behavior.

Call animal control and/or the police NON-emergency number. If it's that loud, but you can't locate it, chances are they are violating a noise ordinance. If it's doing it only when its cold out, it may be being left out for longer periods of time then it can handle, so you'll be doing it a favor by getting animal control involved.

Animal control is pretty much non-existent, but the police are good about coming out for stuff (lots of Facebook threat calls on the blotter). I'll do that in the morning.

There's a device called "bark off" or something like that, you plug it in and supposedly it emits a frequency which stops nuisance barking. I don't know if it works but its only ten buck at Wal-Mart. If you happen to try it and it does let me know because my dog is an annoying asshole when it comes to barking. Thanks.

How close do you have to be for that to work? I may use it for dogs around my apartment place.

I use Bark Off for my dog and it helps. She still barks but not like she used to.

I'm not sure what the range on it is though.

remember, if nothing happens with the non-emergency call, keep calling

    call every day

same thing, don't complain that you've been calling every day, just call every day and report the same thing

why can't you find out where it is?

People who leave their dogs out in the cold piss me right off. Call animal control.
