Oh, and Excelsior and Guramba buyable in-game. If there weren't ninety million of them already flying around I might consider getting myself an Excelsior. Instead I just have to sit on 500 emblems and wait for either the MVAM Prometheus.
Thanks for posting this, I had bought the Excelsior refit from the C-store during this sale and was considering buying a Nebula refit ingame, that they're jacking up the price to 500 Marks forced my hand so I went ahead about bought it while it was still 200.

They've added it to the white ship equipment vendor now, for people who bought their Danube back when the 360 array didn't scale and/or didn't keep the array. I think I'll probably borrow a DBB or dual cannons (not sure if shuttles can equip them or not) from my ship for it, though - all the shuttles are easily fast enough that they don't really need a 360 weapon.
OMG I guess I got lucky to buy the nebula refit for the old 200 token price last month.
BTW If you want to test this ship before you buy them for $ or ingame tokens go to the test server.
Most ships are free there to test them. Sometimes the take same out of the shops after a while,
you can even outfit the ships with free borg/aegis set to test them.
Can save you a lot of trouble. I did not like e.g. the Guramba Siege Destroyer. Good siege animation but ugh in combat.
So according to some people in zone chat, the fountain gifts are actually a shared pool among all players - that is, it'll change when someone claims it.

It does seem like they're actually right on this, though - was just on rerolling at the fountain, and all the decent stuff disappeared extremely quickly (missed out on a dual purple drop on my main: ended up getting some low-level green stuff when I clicked "Take All"), while said low-level stuff took longer to "clear".
I did get a Cryo Tribble on my alt, though that's of questionable utility.
I was specifically going to less populated zones anyway. Lag in the busy ones got to be a problem. Farther down the list there were usually ones with pretty much nobody at the fountain because the people switching instances usually don't bother to scroll down the list, but end up alternating between the top two.

When there was some kind of Mark XI purple thing, it'd be gone in the time it took me to try again. Just in case anyone is wondering wher eI am, I do plan on being online tonight, I'm just looking into a couple of things on my end ahead of time. I figure by 9:30 at the latest.
I don't get the appeal of the targ or the cub....is it just purely asthetic or do the pets rip out your enemies throats in no time flat or something

Yeah it's possible to get two pets on one pull. I had two Sehlat Cubs on one pull. Interesting note the Sehlat Cubs you get from the fountain are not unique, but the one you get from the c-store is (I know because I accidentally purchased the cub by mistake a while back). You can't have more than one out at at time and they're BoP so not like you can sell them.

Yeah I wish they were bind on equip. One of my Alts got a targ.
I am about ready to stop wasting my time with this fountain.
Well the good news is that you can't even log into the game right now. Servers are completely borked. I've been stuck in a loading screen for 10 minutes. I got in earlier (after like 10 minutes) and when I tried to zone the whole thing pooped itself.
I think I'll give it until the evening before I try to play it. Pretty much impossible to change maps. It was like this when Skirmish came out, too, but calmed down for the rest of that series.
I did at least pick up the mission and see the reward, which looks pretty fun.
Well, that's lame. And it's unique, too, so I'd have to run the mission again every time I want one? Sounds like the cryo grenades from the breen series. I would love to use those things regularly, but it's not worth going back through every time I use up a stack.
There's a post by dstahl in the discussion forums - apparently the problems going on right now aren't just from the crush of people running the new episode. It got worse after the episode opened up, but it had started overnight at some point.
now im stuck at a loading screen too. Think it has something to do with instances, I was grinding the loot fountain and I attempted to change to an instance that didn't have any players in it..thats when I got stuck
