By the way, Canticle, I love the titles that you gave the PCs. They're perfect. :-)

Heh, thanks, it was just me toying with the idea of having evolving descriptors for the PCs as they progress, changing at the paragon and epic tiers. We'll see. They're only there for flavor.

It's been a hectic weekend for me, but I'll post tonight to advance the action a touch.

Why do I feel like I've just stepped into the cantina at Mos Eisley? :-)

Riddleport definitely has that hive-of-scum-and-villainy feel to it.

My vote is to go the skill challenge route. I think trying to play the games would take too long, and I, for one, am interested in getting the adventure started. :-)

LOL, well, yes. But I can't see us posting our bets, while Yan tries to roll a hard eight. Hmm... although that might be a good way to get rich... just bet against Yan at every opportunity. ;-)

That would probably work. If he runs into trouble, though, he might start offering side bets against himself, maybe giving him 3-to-1 to win a game or some such.

It'll be a few more hours before I'll be able to make an IC post.

In the meantime: I was intending that Nate dodge both contract and fee with his antics at the door. Will he have to cough up after all? And I'd quite like to play an actual gambling game. I'm sure we can all maneuver our characters to the same table.

Oh, no, no need to mark off the fee for Nate. Sorry, for some reason I missed your rolls initially. Your scene occurs as written.

Ah, excellent. Thankyou. And now Nate's name isn't down twice in two different sets of handwriting. I'm not an expert, but that would seem damn shady.

    Additionally:

    Nice.

    Also: Posting now.

Edit: POSTED. May post again in the morning with Nate's next move. To speed things up.

Well, I'd be willing to give it a shot. My one worry was about getting bogged down in minutia, but as I thought about it, I realized there were ways to get around that.

    Color me flexible.

Are we ready to resume the story or are the U.S.-based players still recovering from the food coma/holiday? :-)

I'm good to go. Watched Ocean's Eleven over the holiday and ready to try to get one over on a casino.

Not, like, rob the casino. Probably shouldn't start off a campaign with a suicidal robbery. Just intend to gamble with much bravado.

I was never not ready... just been waiting for the thread to pick up. Citadel is pretty passive for this part.

    That's a fabulous movie. It's a shame the sequels weren't as good.

It's been twelve days since Canticle last logged in. I think it's time to send some emails/try to catch him on AIM to find out his status.

And I guess we could make some unsupervised gambling-related checks in the meantime. Wouldn't be mcuh fun for Citadel, sadly.

On Monday, I sent a message to the email address from which Canticle sent the campaign materials, but there's no reply yet. I'm guessing life complications? Hopefully nothing serious though.

In the meantime, I'll follow Gideon's lead and play some dice games.

Are we ready to declare ourselves Six Characters In Search Of A DM? Because if so, I've a friend from my RL 4e game who's interested in the position.

    What say you?

Gonna have to pass. I`ve started working on converting my MapTool campaign to play-by-post and won`t have time for this now.

Not so excellent! Hopefully the others are still interested - I certainly am. And loving the dynamic that's already sprung up between Crimson and Nate.

Okay: Crimson, Yan, Elysia, and Nate are in. That's a party! I really hope Rose can make it, but even if not I think my friend will log in within the next few days, introduce himself, and get this thing going (again)!

    GET EXCITED
