Turning old stereo speakers into computer speakers.

I want to turn a pair of old stereo speakers (pictured below) into computer speakers.

My very basic electronics knowledge tells me I'd need some sort of amp and probably some adapters but I have no idea how to put that together. Does anyone know what exactly I'd need to make this work?
I'm handy enough with soldering and simple circuits.

Also I live in Australia so I can't really buy anything from American suppliers, so I'd probably buy most things from Jaycar.

    I have exactly this setup. You need:

    1 x Amp - I would get this from a second hand shop or garage sale, any amp from a stereo system will do. I have a mint Onkyo I got for $200 but you can find much cheaper stuff.
    1 x 3.5mm -> RCA cable e.g. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=WQ7206&CATID=15&form=CAT&SUBCATID=567

    Now wire speakers to amp, connect line out from your sound card to the amp aux in, turn on and enjoy.
