Had a blast playing reach at a buddys house the other day. We had an epic BTB CTF game where right near the end with less than a minute left the enemy team got our flag on a mongoose and was heading back to their base. I was chasing after them on foot (with sprint.) They took a roundabout way to get back to their base so i was able to catch up enough to take out the flag carrier on the back of the mongoose maybe 40 feet from their base. the driver hopped off when this happened and immediately grabbed the flag instead of trying to kill me, then he tries to melee me with the flag, but i got him.
I then immediately run towards the enemy base and head for their flag while my buddy parks a warthog on top of our flag and hops on the turret, and just starts slaughtering their team. As soon as i grab the flag I see that he is right in front of the base with a hog, i shout for him to pick me up. At this point it has just gotten in to sudden death, I hop in the hog and we head back to our base with our flag still sitting outside theirs. We get back and I score the flag with 3 seconds left in sudden death. We win the game 1-0. It was glorious.
Firstly, I wondered how fast I could get moving in Double Rainbow without impediments. I quickly discovered that sliding backwards is much more stable than forwards (less likely to flip around and lose speed) and that the gas didn't really do much past a point. I don't know if it'll show up after being rendered, but after hitting ~327 KPH, the speedometer ticks over into negative, and then keeps counting up. I think I got up to an actual speed of nearly 1,000 KPH before I finally went too fast for the teleportation zone to catch me.
Also this is like a minute and a half long, so I fully understand if no one wants to blow render minutes on it.
Secondly, this happened a week or two back, but I only just now made it into a proper clip. I got into a joust with another guy - him in a banshee, me in a wraith, nothing but a long bridge between us. One could say... his wings got punctured.
Okay, so Array is ostensibly finished. I'd like to get a bit more feedback on it, though, so if you guys could throw me some opinions I'd really appreciate it.
Reposting the last imagedump because nothing's changed designwise, just updated the weapon spawns and fixed the errant kill barriers.

Overhead, Blue side:
I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I really enjoyed playing this map. It has good high-low action, lots of different ways to get around and The Hall is an absolute meat-grnider (which is a good thing). I'd love to play this again sometime.

In a few games now I've seen what appears to be guys mashing their armour lock button, rather than holding it down. I'm assuming this from the way they glow like they're locking, but stay upright. In my own experience you're not invulnerable to damage unless crouched over, so this shouldn't serve to do anything other than deplete your charge, but I'm wondering if it is some kind of glitch people are trying to exploit?
if you have needles or a plasma stuck to you if you just tap it it will shake them off...
Good thing there isn't any armor I'm actually pining for, or else I might be frustrated.
Yeah, but I really need the sniper shoulder to complete my spartan doll . . . he's almost finished . . .
At least getting all today's challenges, plus the weekly will put a dent in it. Leaving for the holidays tomorrow, though, so will be out of commission for around a week. Just me and my DS, then.

That reminds me, i need to clip out a sticky I shook off right into an opponent's face. Good times.
- Invasion started as 9 versus 9, with 3 teams of 3 per team.
- The fire team layout used to be much more hardcore. Your fireteam would be given an objective and that was your sole objective for the match, with each fireteam having different attack and defend objectives.
- They had a feature in where you could capture a territory during Invasion for points.. which you could use to buy from the "Money Tree". I'm guessing weapons and vehicles.
- included vending machines and so on to buy from
- Was cut because they felt it was way too complicated when everything was going at once.
- Scarab driving cut because they didn't have the time to make it a complete sandbox-capable vehicle.

Yeah, that does sound rather complicated for a faster paced game.
Something like Battlefield or C&C: Renegade would be better for that :P

FUCK! And my buddy is always bitching about his 20 GB drive too....
AND I DON'T HAVE HIS ADDRESS!!!
EDIT: One of the Wooters (is that the proper term?) says that these older drives can be used with the new 360s, you just have to crack open the case then plug them into the Slim's SATA port. That true?
I don't know if any of you are familiar with the Flaming Ninja Challenge, but it is an awesome way to kill a few hours/your friendship with several of your friends/people who have wronged you.

pretty sure the invulnerabilty does start well before that fist slam completes though, there are youtube vids showing it

edit: Badman's up for it, so we're starting in about 30 minutes. So I'll start the lobby at 7:05pm CST.
Got about 6 more rounds to go for the weekly so I'll just dust that off in Score Attack.
If someone wants help later on speedrunning the daily for campaign, I'm up for it.
