What does hacker pro do? Does it actually turn enemy killstreaks friendly?
What it does is after you pillage enemy crates the crate remains but it's been turned into a booby trap that kills the enemy when they use it. It'll just sit there until one of the opposing team is dumb enough to tap it.
As far as turning killstreaks I think it means sentry guns and SAMs, not any helicopters or anything like that. I have turned a SAM, so that's nice.
And on scav pro, it's totally worth it. I'm running a commando getup where I replenish the flashbang after I kill people after I've blinded them with a flashbang. It works really well.
Has anyone had a Decoy grenade used against them? I've been running a distraction type decoy/jammer setup and I really can't tell if my Decoy grenades are doing anything useful. I'm thinking of just going back to trusty mr Stun Grenade.
Yeah the second time I saw a decoy grenade I memorized the gun sound and interval so now it's really obvious. Also how they don't move makes it pretty obvious.
Also 100+ kills, demolition, nuketown, chopper gunners.
It really seems like a stupid item. So you make someone think a gun is being shot on the other side of the wall when it's not. How is that going to give you an advantage in this type of game? Are you going to be hiding behind a crate every time you throw it hoping someone checks it out? That just doesn't seem very efficient.
On second thought, it might be interesting for SnD.
Unlocked the Commando this morning. A bit bummed that I will only be able to use it for 6 more levels. I unlocked Hardline Pro at the same time. The whole rerolling sam turrets, etc is awesome and all but it really should be changed.
I got a chopper gunner and gunship from the same double reroll.

They are useful in big gun fights to confuse people just coming in. If you have three guys shooting up a point, throw out a couple decoy grenades to help your chances of getting the first shot when some guy comes around a corner and concentrates on your grenade blip and not you.
Or even to just deter lone wolfs trying to stop you from taking a point in domination. I am much less likely to try and uncontest a point alone if I think there are three dudes assaulting it. And even if I do I won't know where to point my gun first, even if I do know there are decoy grenades. Again the advantage is yours.
I must say that the pro requirements for perks are just sadistic in some cases. Hardline pro is never going to happen for me, I cannot get my fucking allies to pick it up!
Yeah I don't understand it at all. In MW2 my team could be absent the entire game, off circle jerking in corners or something seeing as how I'm the only guy doing anything but then when I throw a care package they come out of the woodwork, jump out of my ass, re-appear from the nether, whatever, and dog pile onto my care package, trying their damnedest to block me from it with their bodies.
In Blops? I can't get them to take my CP if I'm on the mic yelling at them to grab it.
I was thinking the exact same thing, except I was unable to express it so perfectly.
I was literally begging my teammates to take an attack helicopter and sentry gun to no avail (which I could understand if it was some stupid ammo refill bullshit).
But then I ran into a kid who obviously played MW2, because he was on that shit like christmas came early.
I'm rubbish with the MP5. I just went 0.30 at best over the course of the last three rounds. Fuck Challenges, I'll going back to the warm embrace of my Enfield.
I loaded bombs in the air force for four years, we used little lift trucks called jammers to load bombs. An exact fucking copy is in this game, it is amazing. They really got the details all right, although I am not sure about the time period and what they were like back then (I know they were different in vietnam) the details are exact though.
Wooo. Was finally able to favorite the PA server today. Had time to get a quick game in, still a bit of hitching, but it was somewhat bearable. At least they're making some progress.

According to the Black Ops forums if you type in 3arc unlock, or 3arcunlock into the terminal after you break out of the menu you unlock all of the zombie maps. Can anyone verify this? I don't have a copy of blops yet, despite the fact I'm level 34.
auuugh, the game has decided to freeze at the menu 15 times in a row, as soon as I move my mouse over the play button it just locks up it's done this a few times before but never 15 times in a row.

Confirmed. It says 'cheat enabled', and all three are unlocked. It also saves after you leave the game.
EDIT: Apparently it also unlocks all campaign maps even if you've never played campaign, so you can just jump in whenever.

Just died like thirty times on nuketown, jumping into a game mid-match where someone had a chopper gunner and then dogs out. Maybe the game shouldn't automatically respawn you until you hit the button.
Finally got around to playing some multiplayer. Still need an invite for the Steam group, ID = rndmhero.
Also, are people incapable of shooting standing up? I know there was a lot of diving in MW2, but this is ridiculous. Some of these matches feel like Call of Duty: Dolphin Warfare.

Haven't noticed it too badly yet, but when I read about the diving I definitely thought back to BF2.
Last night people voted for nuketown 3 times in a row. I don't know what made me more angry, the fact that it showed up 3 times or the fact that the nimrods kept voting for it.
Also fuck the ballistic knife. The tiniest bit of lag makes it completely un-usable. About 10 times I'd fire it point blank at someone, only to have them run up and just knife me. The killcam would show it whizzing right by them.

Me too. I always expect them to have a sniper.

Tell me about it, if I could hit an 8 (or 7) killstreak more often i'd so be using rolling thunder.
felt so good
even though mizak was a perennial spoilsport
also my exp bar in game said i was ready for prestige
but after going back to the main menu, it said i still needed 1k experience
gonna let it sit a while, see if it just needs to update or something
like losing my completed perk challenges
ARGHHH
but i waited for the next map to start loading up!
i mean
not a big deal, but still, that felt like the perfect game to prestige to!

Get a decent lead, die, never respawn. That's why.

Doesn't really matter in a domination match, though.

I shot a dog earlier today and laughed my ass off.
Yoink!
