    I have heard absolutely nothing about how good this game is supposed to be. Modern Warfare 2 kind of annoyed me and I am broke and can't get anything else for some time!

    So far this game is dare I say better or at least more inventive in the mission structure than MW2. Also, I totally did this sweet jump out of a window on a motorcycle while gunning people down with a M1887 shotgun. Treyarch did well to get away from WWII. If they can continue the pace they've set here at the early part of the game, I can see them stepping up to the fill the void left by a broken Infinity Ward. Though I suppose we will need to see how MW3 shapes up to finally render judgement.

    Pharezon was bitching at me constantly about how bad Modern Warfare 2 was and I was all "dude shut up I loved CoD4"

    And then I played it. And the story was balls retarded.

    I played the multiplayer a lot though. Had a knife-witch build that was pretty sweet, but I eventually switched to just using a silenced SCAR all the time

    The story was worse than Tom Clancy.

    It was basically a Tom Clancy book turned into a movie that was directed by Michael Bay

    Got this last night and played all night in online multi. I like it a lot, so far, the gameplay seems tighter than MW2. The new modes are a blast, but I lost all my money and had to go back to the regular types.

    People who played the campaign for the story are dumber than the story was. It was ridiculously easy to ignore the story and just play through the awesome moments.

    Video games can have engaging stories. I thought CoD4 had a somewhat fun-ish story. It is not my fault the MW2 story was just. Fucking stupid and dumb and stupid as hell.

    I still ended up playing the multiplayer a lot. But the campaign being 6 hours long and dumb as hell wasn't that great

    Because the selling point of MW was never the realistic and complex storylines. It was you being a badass soldier.

    Personally I enjoyed the hell out of the campaign, but then again I paid very little attention to the story. It's not even like there were cutscenes that shoved it in your face or anything. Just the guys talking a little bit before each mission.

    What I think the games were really good at was setting up the events so that you can create your own grand moments, like waiting till right after the guy reaches 1 on his countdown to explode the gastank.

    I had this infuriating error with CoD4 where I just could not play multiplayer for months at a time.

    It would just get stuck on loading game settings or something and I could never find a solution that worked beyond waiting a long time. This was on the Ps3, but I still had fun playing it when I could actually play it.

    Hard to go back to after playing MW2 multi on the 360 (not that I would ever really want to go back to not being able to play for long stretches of time for no reason)
