Well, I struggle with even the simplest design concepts but this Tron inspired design turned out okay:
I like it. If you want to get complicated, you could try painting the car with that electric blue from the "special colors" and then cover the whole car in black decals except for where you want the stripes and numbers. Basically it's like using a stencil, and it lets you make designs with the pearlescent colors. Does that at all make sense?
That's me in the back on pic 2! Could you post the replay? I forgot to save and wanted to make a video of how you spun around my nose of my car. Hopefully it looks as cool as I remembered...

Oh snap... I hadn't even thought about that. What a neat idea.
I was the one that went flying into traffic in the first video there. Ken was driving the white NSX and had no idea I was on his right. He moved to the right to take the inside, again, not knowing I was there, and bumped into the jutting wall. I hit the wall and flew into the middle of traffic. It was all body damage for me, but I'm pretty sure I wiped out 3 people by that happening.
I mean, it's not like I hit the wall and spun, I hit the wall and went flying. That RX-7 weighs around 3000lbs and it flew like a paper plane.
I was also the person that tried to get an IROC-Z down to the weight limit. The problem with that car is you need Stage 3 weight reduction to get it down low enough and that eats up way too much of the room you have to play with upgrades to make it viable.

It works best with simpler shapes, since you're basically drawing a negative of the decal you want to show through in the base paint. I tried to do it with flames once and almost put my controller through the TV.
Ooo, I may have gotten my Live connection problems sorted. It's at least not giving me the NAT error anymore on the test. The last guide I used said to disable UpNp where all the rest said to enable it and it appears to have worked. We'll see tonight (and now I have to go figure out my cars for tonight with renewed hope).

Bast, that was the best outro ever. You have just won at Forza film-making.
Although that said, one had to be there to understand how f*cking hilarious that happening was. Man, good times ...
You should go in and grab my lone-wolf spin at the other tunnel entrance. I came out much better than you did. =P

This is actually brilliant, and I would totally do it, but unfortunately I don't have time before tonight's race and then we'll be moving on to other cars.
Wait, maybe I can just do it with next week's car. Hmmmm.
Turn 10 really needs to be smacked around for the way they designed that stretch on Camino Viejo. Those walls are angled perfectly to launch cars back into traffic. While this does initiate a lot of hilarity, it guarantees a huge clusterfuck every time that track shows up in multiplayer.
There is zero runoff, the track is super narrow, and if you put a tire in the grass, you're gonna get sucked into the wall. If you try to correct, you'll swerve back into traffic. If you don't try to correct, you'll tap the wall and get thrown into traffic. Either way.. someone is gonna have their race ended.

I meant to say earlier, assuming nobody has a problem with it and we have enough people, I'll run the second lobby tonight. We'll try and get a better split, as discussed.
*thumbs up*
You people do realize that I (and most of us, Infact) will race almost any and every night of the week, right? Just set up a lobby, send out invites, and many of us will show up.
I say this because it sounds like a lot of the "newbies" in this thread are under the assumption that the ONLY racing done is on Thursday nights
Every time I load up FM4 I intend to send out a club invite.. and then a whole bunch of rival messages pop up, and suddenly it's 10pm and I've spent the whole night trying to top the leaderboard.
FWIW, I think the club invites stay in everyone's inbox for a while even if they're not online. So it's worth sending one out if you wanna race, so people who log on afterward can still see it and join up.
...or at least that's how I think it works. I logged in last week and had an invite from Bast or Arctic that was sent 15 minutes before I signed in.

It took me awhile before I could start getting the gang of the paint editor, just got to stick with it

Perhaps I can interest you in my meager selection of pins?

Wait, maybe I can just do it with next week's car. Hmmmm.
It's great for things like chrome door handles or bumpers, carbon fiber, retroreflective paint, etc
I don't remember right now.
I'm the red car in this video:
Mixer: Kestrel1 | Twitch: KestrelTV
I've watched this like 10 times, and it is really funny every single time. That is amazing.
Oh man, imagining the wtf from the blue car when that happened..gold.
The brake lights coming on a half instant before he is totally wiped out makes it even better.
Water... all... over... desk.

well, finally figured out how to embed a video on this forum.......

I'll try and accept any invites going out, and baring my getting into a game, I'll go into my standby of creating a lobby.
Edit: I'll send out some invites (didn't get or see one sent out at all).
If you're not in the club, look me up on XBL: lwap0, message me or whatevs.
apparently xbox live is hating anything I do that isn't MW3 so fuck it I'll play MW3
