Hittin' up the cookie brigade is perhaps one of the things I am most excited about. My mouth is watering all over the place just thinking about all these delicious cookies. I want to try one of each! Hopefully I can find some of you good people. Last year I didn't see any cookie brigadiers!
Going to make sure I have lots of single bills available.
You all should attach bells to your belts or play music from speakers or something, so people will know you're around! Like the ice cream man! Except the music could be video game music.
I am going to buy SO MANY COOKIES.
Bells you say....? ;-) I'll try to be super extroverted for PAX so I can get more cookies out!

We have many, many more Brigadiers this year for East than we did last year, which is going to mean you'll have a much easier time finding us! As long as they all show up, we should have pretty good coverage of the whole event hopefully! This time you won't be able to miss us.
We're having a bit of a... shipping difficulty at the moment... but hopefully the patches should arrive soon. Look for people with large Cookie Brigade patches, or blue felt flags with Cookie Brigade Patches attached to them! We'll be there!
Surprise - looks like I'm baking a few dozen cookies now as well, provided they turn out okay and meet my high standards for sharing, haha. I've never made 'em before, so we'll see...I just couldn't ignore the bag of cranberries that I found in my freezer
Yeah, I've been registered for over a month on there (as a distributor), silly goose. Might be confusing you since my real name is displaying there (Angela O).
Ah, sweet. Aye, it is something I need to fix... for us it would be much easier if BuddyPress showed PA Forum Usernames instead of Real Names when showing people's activity... I can't recognize who people are by real names! Unfortunately, I think I'd need to change a ton of places in their code, which sucks.

So I finished cooking but now need to label and pack. Sending them out tomorrow. I hope it lands some money, I'm sure my Mrs. Pacman and Pacman will be good to go!

21 baggies of two cranberry icebox cookies that look something like this:
...well, except for one bag that has three cookies and another that has four, because some of them turned out smaller. :P Otherwise I tried to buddy up bigger cookies with smaller cookies so each bag has about the same amount of noms.
I believe the total count on the candy this year is about 300 bags of Space invaders and probably 20-30 bags of the surprise Extra Life candies. I've also got a bunch of extras in the form of Pi Symbols, I'll be deciding tonight if I'm going to bag them or save them as noms for BYOC.
Total supplies used:
30 lbs (roughly) of granulated sugar
128 oz (roughly) corn syrup
6 bottles of Lor-Ann flavoring
<--- probably going to get the diabeetus through osmosis eventually.
I've got got about 400 bags of chocolate candy from my mom and like 200 bags of white chocolate popcorn.

Bakers, please remember to individually wrap or bag your cookies too while you're going! Remember, our goal is for the only person having touched the cookies to be the person who baked it: and we can only pull that off if the bakers themselves are bagging or wrapping their cookies!
I shipped to Joy and she will receive it by at least Thursday. I hope they all turnout well. I will try the pacman cookies again at PAX Prime as well, so hopefully will go great.

We weren't sure we could do it, but all signs are pointing to us being able to make cookies for PAX east after all! My sis and I have raised money the past two years at PAX prime, but this will be our first year at PAX East. We'll be bringing soft gingerbread in a variety of gaming-related shapes, probably similar to the ones we made in September (although usually we put icing on about half of them after they've been transported):
Since my party usually includes both bakers and sellers, in the past we just found the meetup point and give money to the appropriate person with the giant banner... but I don't see the meet up point on these forums this time, so I made an account on cookie-brigade.com and I'm hoping someone there can tell me where and when to meet up for the final hand off!
If you're looking for Brigadeers, they will also be wearing gold colored pins. Shown here is a gold colored pin and a silver colored pin (the lighting in this room was a little yellow to begin with). The silver pins are special tokens of thanks for those that donate generously. We're going to try to do a pin for every PAX, with the year number done up in blue for East, red for Prime.

3 times the normal amount of batter prepared for my chocolate chip/chunk recipe! Batter is chilling in the fridge and I'll be baking like a mad man tomorrow!

Oh yeah, baked a test batch of my nutella chocolate chunk cookies. I hate to toot my own horn (honk!), but they are pretty epic. I mean, one of the best cookies I've ever tasted. It's not me, it's all the nutella's doing. ;-)
Hey all. Still possible to get in on this? I'll be at PAX East first thing Friday and I'd be happy to bring along some cookies - my plan's to do some chocolate sandwich cookies w/raspberry buttercream frosting. I've signed up over on the website; is there anything else I should do to verify that I'm an actual real person who wants to donate some cookies?
(Man, it's been years since I've posted on the PA forums. This seems like a pretty good reason to do so, though.)
