Looking for free image view / edit software with some requirements:

I'm trying to find an image editing or viewing program that will let me view or (ideally) print a photograph with related properties or metadata.

Free would be a big sticking point too. Windows 7.

I suppose if I'm being picky I wouldn't mind a free pony either. But mostly any recommendations on image editing or viewing software that lets me combine an image with metadata and filenames for print productions.

I think GIMP does this, or at least has an expansion you can download to make it do this.

Infranview is a good one for viewing, and OpenCanvas is a good one for photo-editing.

I like IrfanView a lot, but while you can do some editing with it it's fairly limited.

    Paint.NET

I believe Win7 edits metadata out in the Explorer shell natively, though
