The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I have had this Samsung Syncmaster 225BW for about 6 months now and it is absolutely awesome. Widescreen rules, and I could never go back.
That being said, playing older games on a widescreen is downright painful to look at. I know that this can be remedied by reducing back down to normal aspect ratio and having black bars on the sides, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this.
Is it a graphics card setting or should it be a setting on the monitor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That depends on what kind of graphics adaptor your have.
For Nvidias, you open your Control panel>NVIDIA Control Panel>Display>Change Flat Panel Scaling (left side) and choose "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio"
