as a squishy/high-priority target olaf is one of the most terrifying champs in the game
nothing makes me go OH SHIIIIT like seeing him come tearing out of the jungle in a teamfight with red buff and ragnarok active
Our team earlier was having problems with Olaf, so we're all like "Let's focus him!" and that didn't work, he just can't die with Ragnarok up. Not focusing him led to some dead dudes. I think the best way is to trick him into popping his ult early, and then smashing him after. So maybe kill him second?
I don't really encounter this as Olaf. Full focus burns me pretty quick, Ragnarok or not, and it only lasts a handful of seconds until late game. Try CCing him before he pops it -- because if he pops it early, it's gonna run out quick, so he's not likely to do it until it seems like he's right about to take some shit. If you can hit him hard with some burst before Ragnarok goes up, he won't be able to take much more.

A properly built Olaf also has some fearful lifedrain. If there's an extended teamfight and you forced him to run away low, be very careful because he can hit up a neutral camp and clear it and come back into the fight at half health.
i remember when he used to be the ridonkulousness and i'd carry all the time as him but then they started nerfing and remaking and shit and now hes just meh
my style:
clairvoyance/teleport
9/0/21
pick a card
stacked deck
wild cardx3
destiny
then max out destiny, wild card, pick a card, stacked deck in that order
items:
doran's ring + hp pot
sheen
turn sheen into lich bane
boots 2 somewhere in here, like mercury's
zhonya's
then after that it depends on enemy team and game situation, whether you need thornmail, banshee's veil, guinsoo's rageblade, or whatever
my TF style is not carry at all, I use him as a utility caster with a lot of map presence. Laning is also pretty fun with him, because your blue Pick A Card actually replenishes mana once you get some AP going, so you can keep spamming Wild Card in conjunction with Pick A Card.
Clairvoyance and Teleport along with destiny is a bit silly, they let you see everything and be everywhere.
The only problem is that you don't really have an escape but I try to let map awareness with clairvoyance and destiny let me not engage in bad situations.
to illustrate how well i was doing that game, I was running around with more or less 100 mana, and suddenly out pops shen and katarina, its a 2v1 and im in trouble... except even blowing cooldowns and shit they couldn't stop the pain. Olaf took out Kat, who was their best player score wise, and then shen ran away. I don't know what i did, but it worked well.
Interesting. I'm surprised no Recurve or anything, but I guess the zerker's makes up for it.
Although how you got away with zerker's on Ashe is beyond me. She's so freaking slow even with Speed 3.
i go boots of swiftness with panth but yeah i've always gone greaves with ashe. it's cheaper, it avoids me filling a spot with stinger, and i never feel like i have to move tooooo rapidly with long distance range like hers
Her range is okay, but only really with Volley. Her autoattack range sometimes leaves something to be desired and if you don't have speed 3, you can be run down so easily.
God forbid their team has any good dashers because you will get exploded. IME zerker's is only a choice if you really really really trust your team to screen for you.
hmmm
i've played prolly 30-40 games with ashe and run greaves every time
it always seemed ok to me since i can slow rushers (nonstop) and the attack speed lets me slow them more
but i will give BoS a try with her, see how i like them
Champions like Yi can just wreck you so hard, Alpha Strike, ult, g'bye.
Like that problem is bad enough on Trist and she has a blink, AS steroids, knockback (at least as good as Ashe ult for saving your ass in a teamfight, although not as much utility), and more burst damage.
But yeah I don't get Zerker's on anybody because it's so so easy to get IAS with other items. Like it just seems like a waste to me. It can be hard to work anti-CC, dodge, extra MS into your build outside of boots on a carry.

as someone who's gone like 48-11 in his last few ashe games, my main advice: having your ult up can save your ass
in teamfights, be positioned properly. know when to initiate, and don't fling your ult wastefully. if i run into a yi or eve or whoever in the forest, i can almost always escape with a timely point blank ult (note that the stun is very minimal at this range) and then kiting them out with slows
if you have problems staying alive, run ghost (you should always be running flash)
also consider running cleanse, which can be invaluable against bumping into someone with CC unexpectedly
don't fight point blank unless the kill is guaranteed- remember who (like brolaf and trynd) gets buffed from low health
my two mains (panth and ashe) who i play in probably 60+ percent of my 150 matches are very squishy and survivability is only a real problem
a) when i'm playing poorly in the laning phase so i get outleveled and or farm poorly
b) late game when i get reckless and my squishiness really shows against like, 380 AD miss fortunes

Not if his lifesteal is greater than the thornmail damage
I need to get better at jungle rammus, or really jungling in general. I'm terrified of getting ganked or screwing up my jungling and ending up really behind.
Having to abandon a buff because you don't think you'll get it is really frustrating.

Just be willing to work the edge of dying. While learning to jungle, you will die to jungle creeps at least a few times. Figure out the proper way to make it safe for you.
Example: I typically jungle with mumu, and to mitigate the "walking around with nearly 0 health pre-4 minutes", I took ignite+improved ignite. This gives me an additional damage source to pop on Blue golem and dragon to get me out more quickly with more health, as well as gives me 10 AP while on cooldown.
Never be afraid to experiment with different builds/creep orders, and know that it's actually not that common to be able to do your normal circuit as either the 2v1 will die or a gank opportunity will present itself early. Stay flexible.
Someone teach me jungle Amumu. Or point me to the best guide. Leaguecraft has a lot to sort through.
How I do it
1. Runes - Mpen/dodge/MP5 - level + health quints
2. Masteries - I go 10/0/20 with improved ignite. Just hit 30 though, so I might switch to 9/0/21. 10/3(Armor)/17 isn't bad either
3. I take smite/ignite
4. Cloth Armor+5 hp pots+despair first
5. Blue golem first (if you have improved ignite, pop that first for the AP bonus) - focus big golem then the little ones.
Skill order - Despair/Tantrum/Tantrum/Despair/Bandage Toss/Ult (some like toss in the 4 slot, but I like despair for the increased damage on dragon)
6. Roll through the rest of the jungle in order. Your smite should be back up just in time to hit red buff. You should have a second or two rest in between camps for mana/health regen.
7. B back and buy a health crystal+at least 1 hp pot. Run directly to dragon and drop him around 4-4:30 mark. B back and then take their blue or get some mana regen (their blue is preferable), then start ganking as you should have enough tankiness to be viable now.
General item notes: the cloth+ruby crystal can either be turned into an aegis or a heart of gold. I find that aegis is better, but you really get behind on the rest of your build making it. Make a judgement call based on how the rest of your team is doing. Merc treads if they have CC, Tabi if they don't.

Just google 'nisi jungle amumu' and it will point you to the guide she's posted (and the guide she based hers on).
It's pretty straight forward. However, if you're in a premade, skip buying a ward and have your team cover you (like they should anyway) and buy cloth + 5 Hpots.
I usually get ruby crystal first back, with a pot or two if I can afford it, then ghost out to dragon, hopefully finish it safely and either get a point in bandaid toss if bottom is gankable, or go do some more jungle and usually get a heart of gold to supplement income on my next back with boots.

I want to see Ashe/Ez/Luz all fire their projectiles at once at someone

One game I started doing Baron as Udyr (as I usually do), decided in a rare moment of clarity that it was actually a bad idea and backed off. A second later I see an Ez ult and an Ashe arrow fly past my face.
Solo Ranked Queue, its a lot like that crazy fat girl you slept with, but when you are feeling down on yourself you go back to, and then you hate yourself afterwards because it causes nothing but pain and anguish...sorrow so deep...
On the subject of jungling, I've been trying out Warwick recently. He goes through the camps with a lot more hp than Olaf but he seems to do it much slower. With Olaf I'll finnish our side at around 4 mins but with WW it seems to take almost a full extra minute. Anyone have any insight?
I've been doing blue buff first and taking hunter's call as my first skill with cloth and 5 health pots.

I start at wolves, kill the wee ones, move to golem. This saves a few seconds.
I take Q first, damage reds (this is better than ArPen early), 21/0/9 masteries, smite of course.
I also generally buy cloth + 2 HP pot + 1 ward for safety. Jungle ganks are bad, bad news.

How I do it
1. Runes - AD (doesn't need the mpen early because of nonexistant MR on important jungle creeps and his passive), 6x armor+3mp5/level, flat cdr (gotta get that ult off cooldown), health quints
2. Masteries - 1/19/10
3. Ignite/Smite
4. Cloth Armor+5HP.
5. Despair, Tantrum, Despair, Tantrum, Bandage Toss, Ult. R > E > W > Q afterwards.
6. Start at blue, pop potions as necessary. It's fairly straightforward and down to mana management with these runes. I tantrum once at wolves, twice at wraiths, once or twice at red, once at blue, give or take an extra tantrum in there somewhere as mana allows. I like to start wraiths at 130 mana, red at 150-200.
7. If and only if you are healthy after the first jungle pass *and* the lane closest to minigolems is pushed and ripe for ganking, get Bandage Toss at 4 instead of Tantrum and gank. Keep in mind that if you fail, you will not be able to do Dragon at 4.
8. If not, go back, get a Ruby Crystal on the way to a Heart of Gold, get Dragon and have your team watching for you. If they have a fast jungler, I would not recommend doing this as Amumu is extraordinarily vulnerable, unlike a Warwick, Olaf, or Udyr (Fiddles is safe, but is so squishy that he'll die if caught by a couple people also). Instead, ward and countergank. If you really really feel good about Dragon at 4 even though it's contested, see if you can't find someone to finagle a pink ward for you.

I'm kind of in love with jungle Nunu after this weekend, or lane Nunu even. It's nice because he's the only jungler I've played that if the other team does manage an early gank and fucks up your jungle can just go hang out in the lane and be just as effective.
He can also 2 v 1 like a champ with constant harrasment and a self heal that gives you a last hit he's so boss. I tend to not get a ton of kills though because I suck at getting killing blows on champs, but I get a lot of assists which fill up my Mejai's for super ults.
I did jungle ww last night and it was a lot of fun. First game was a 5 man normal game and I really felt like I was pulling my weight. Second was an in house where I felt bad because I ended up with like 17 kills. But then I played Eve the following game and my suckiness made up for it.
