i bought gangplank last week, and it was totally worth it. best voice work, imo. :P

i been starting with meki to build chalice, then boots1, after that, merc treads for more MR, avarice and HoG. at this point, if i'm farming well, i work on that BF sword. if i'm having some trouble, i go for ghostblade, then BF, since ghostblade makes me stronger if i get into any teamfights. after that, randuin's, because it is one of the most awesome items ever.

now, what i'm thinking about, is building tear instead of chalice if i don't need the early MR. since tear is a better mana fix than chalice, but chalice wins in a lot of cases with the MR and lower cost.

i've also though about getting spirit visage, if i chose to omit chalice or treads. every bit of it is useful for plank, but i don't know if it is good enough to fit in over the items i already build for. went like, 10/4/8 last night when i played this, went mid against leblanc. i kept her well denied, was lvl 7 when she was 6, but she still has pretty good burst.

how do you all build plank?

I enjoy the IDEA of Evelynn. But she is so easily shut down by Oracles that what you end up seeing is a bunch of Evelynns that do silly things like stacking 3 giants belts just so they don't die trying to get to the enemy. Twitch has it better because he is ranged and even with oracles if you see him it's probably already too late.

Shaco has other tools to slow or fear you while he sets up the kill. Evelynn literally needs to get right up near you to initiate so I find I end up waltzing around the outside of the fights waiting for the right moment when the enemy is just distracted enough that I can get in and explode a squishy.

She is fun but I feel she needs something else added to her. As it is right now if she gets ahead of the game early she can snowball and dominate.....but the same can be said about any hero at that point.

    Avarice blade

Then after I get some farm

    Some avarice blades

Then I farm up a bit more

Then I get more avarice blades

Then i crit people to death until I can't do that anymore

manamune is a very nice pick for him and totally solves all of his mana problems (moreso than chalice, I find)

Also I only build gangplank as a fat huge tank with moderate damage. Meki pendant->warmogs (this is totally doable if you are smart about last hitting and use smite religiously to get every last hit you can). Go for a solo lane if its available.

after first warmogs grab atmas and you are sitting near 185 damage. Then manamune probably! I rune for crit% and mana regen

Take red buff whenever its available. You are sustained damage now, not a 1-crit pony, so you really need to keep them near you to get the damage out. Parrrley->autoattack until next parrrley. Mango out of any CC and keep on them. Since early on you aren't as threatening (around the 1 warmogs part) use your ultimate to get kills and get that atmas asap. You farm like a motherfucker so its not tough

e: also i build zerker greaves because I like the attack speed and mango + itemization should take care of most CC

    I jungle with her
the first gank when they haven't seen you all match is AMAZING
then they usually come back with a vision ward
so I go gank the other lane or go back into the jungle
if they buy an oracle I hold mid while mid ganks them to get rid of that

perfect scenario I ganked the other jungler at level 2 for first blood

I feel like my job as eve is to get my teammates fed enough early game that midgame it makes up for having evelynn on the team. I specifically try to only get assists whenever possible

Then when it's teamfight time if they're countered me I just push a different lane with Malice and Spite and a sheen, luring one or two of them away from the pack so my team can have a 4v4 or 4v3 teamfight

go 2 earrings into a philo stone if you want 2 philos to work up with your avarice into your first hog.

    this is what i do.

-2 earrings/meki (i sometimes do meki so I can get a manamune goin with him)
    -first philo
    -boots
    -giants belt/avarice blades
    -finish Warmogs
    -another avarice
    -finish manamune/get a crit cape
-this part just farm your ass off until you get an IE, obviously BF sword first.

DO NOT GET A GHOSTBLADE, YOU DON'T NEED IT.

-after I finish the IE, get your last item to be an Atma's. It's usually a debate between Atmas's/Frozen Mallet/Phantom Dancer.

I always try to finish with a Phantom Dancer, it helps a lot with kiting people for parrrlayys and getting in and out of fights. You also attack super fast for last hitting minions/champs and crit like a bastard.

So all in all: 2 philos, warmogs, IE, atmas, frozen mallet/phantom dancer.

I tend to sell 1 philo end game to finish this setup. Go straight up crit chance and mana regen runes.

I disagree with getting the Atma's so early.

You want to focus more on damage after you get the Warmogs, especially since you need your Warmogs full charged before Atma's is at it's full potential.

To fill that gap - I rush the IE after Warmogs, THEN get Atma's. After IE -> Crit Cape and then finish it.

After those 3 main items, I am usually smittin.

It's usually a debate if I want to run/chase/attack/crit more, or have more health from the FM and snare people with my ludicrous critting auto attacks.

Basically everything SoaL does - I do, but I don't rush the Atmas cause I like people to stay scurred of me and my zoning. Adding that extra crit cape after IE, or even after Atmas would help a lot more.

They won't be so scared with just an Atmas as your critting force that early.

    I demand elaboration!

    21/0/9
    Smite/Ignite

    There's a couple routes I use, usually I go

Mana Crystal + 2 Health potion
start at little golems, smite one, spam hate spike to kill them using one health potion
at this point if there's an enemy jungler whose route you know confidently, get Shadow Walk and go kill them.

Otherwise, go to the wolves, ravage the big one, use your other health potion, hate spike spam to kill'em

Go to the banshees, smite the big one, ravage/hatespike to kill them, base. buy shoes.

    Golems again
    Wolves again
    base
    etc
get stealth whenever and start ganking, it's super easy

    OTHER ROUTE

start with red pot and 5 health potions
hate spike/smite the blue buff to death. Be sure to auto-attack him once, then walk back to the bush, so that the big hate spike hits the blue buff golem
then wolves, then banshees (with smite I think), then little golems, then base and buy shoes
go get red buff which levels you up to level 4 (you should have pretty full health), get stealth, gank.

she's bad at getting the dragon, but it's easy once you have a sheen and a wriggles
