Just picked up the ps3 GTAV lockbox/art book bundle too... god damn love this amazon clearance shit. I already have gta4 obv so im trading in the game for $7.75
First post in the pick-up thread with biggest pick-up for the last several years. Was planning on grabbing a BMW 1 series in 2k11 but some recent life changes have me being a little more careful with my money. Truth is though I fucking love this ride. It is so damn fun to drive I find myself not even caring I didn't get the BMW and I saved 10k.
Pictured above is my Christmas video game haul. Not pictured is the 1600 points card I used to pick up Pac-Man CE DX and all of the Mass Effect 2 expansions.

I really need to stop going to NeoGAF. The Pickup thread over there contains posts by people that are apparently stupid-rich.
I know, it makes me a bit jealous too. :P
Not jealous, just a bit depressed that it's unlikely that I'll have that amount of success in my lifetime.
Meh, in all seriousness...it don't bother me too much.
My two kids are all the success I need. There are times I'd like to be able to afford to support my hobby more than I can, but in the end, I don't have the time I would need to actually play everything I'd buy anyway...so ultimately the modest amount of money I spend on it works just fine.
I like the whole idea of picking a unit, and then it zooms down to third-person view and I actively control said unit instead of just moving a cursor to a spot and selecting "move here."
It may essentially be the same thing, but I find the latter to be so unsatisfying. That's why I look at games like StarCraft II and get hit with a concentrated dose of narcolepsy.
It's completely turn-based as well, so it's not like everything is moving at a frantic pace

I really, really dig it
The demo is only available on the Japanese PSN store these days.
Because it's in real time you end up having to be quick about it, too. Like, you take your shot and then end your turn or else the enemy can keep shooting at you.

I think I started downloading the demo back when everyone had the game in their signature. If I'm lucky, I'll still be able to grab it from my "Purchased Items" list.

I wasn't very impressed by VC's demo, yet I love Disgaea.
Go figure.
And D3 is not that complicated. It's grid based.
What are complicated are the item worlds, classroom system, and nigh endless customization potential.
Game of Thrones board game from Fantasy Flight. Looks pretty awesome.
"Blue" Toon Link, with bomb in hand.
?? Actraiser 2. Not showing up, for some reason.
Harvest Moon 64. The best Harvest Moon.
An assortment of NES games. Really makes me feel like a kid again; unwrapping the game, knowing nothing about it, plugging it in and trying to figure out the controls.
For some reason, not all of the thumbnails are showing up for me in the preview post. So, if you're curious, there's a link to the album.

Nice. Harvest Moon 64 is pretty hard to find too if I remember correctly.

There's a couple wallpapers there you can download, and when the early access demo comes out, they'll send a code to your e-mail to download it.

You need to edit your definition of success, then. :rotate:

Because they find it fun, I would assume...or enjoy game in the Zelda franchise...or because their opinion differs from yours.
Take your pick, they could all be right.

But the rest of those are aces
You did good harvest
Because I can understand it, you see
VC looked interesting, but I avoided it because I'm incredibly bad at strategy games. If that's true, maybe I should give it a shot.
