I'm judging everybody who dies to Garen in a straight-up lane (as opposed to gank/teamfight) right now.

It is very easy to die to Garen lvl1-8 in a lane. Teemo/Morg beside him and it's a world of pain.

Or heck, almost anyone with a disable.

A Garen/Taric lane for example is not only a huge pain in the ass to deal with, but even if you don't get killed there's a good chance they can easily zone you out of exp range.

This game is quickly becoming not fun, my recent games are almost all losses now. That isn't even the worst part, playing with PA people they always want to surrender at 25 so I never really got to learn a hero since we surrender so early. Then after our less someone will always quit because they hate losing so we have to wait for another person to join our game which takes quite some time. Playing this game is very, very time consuming since it takes so long to set up a game and then so long to learn a hero since most games are wasted I only learn the early phase.

Lux/Garen is actually pretty shitty. Garen doesn't get the level advantage he has in a solo to spin all over people by himself and Lux's early lane presence is really lacking.

Four buttons to press, two summoner spells. Last hitting is retardedly easy, jungling is easy, AND THERE IS NO DENYING. If you consistently miss skillshots you're either not familiar with the champion yet or you're just bad.

Who takes any skill in this game to play functionally?

Compare this game to Starcraft 2 or hell even HoN and there are huge skillcap differences.

My main problem with denying, other than how tedious it made laning, was that it made it so easy to neutral a lane right next to your tower and effectively zone the crap out of your enemies. It was impossible to stay in xp range since you'd always be so vulnerable to being ganked and there was really no way to come back from that.

The only guy who can really do that in LoL is Gangplank and holy fuck is it bad if he gets to neutral a lane right next to his own tower and freefarm it.

EDIT: In some cases you might not want to do an early tower kill if there's a GP on the enemy team because that sets up the conditions for him to do that.

I'd say the game is harder in terms of playing a champion well, knowing limits, map awareness, ganking and whatever than like, being dexterous or great at plate spinning/managing multiple things at once

input isn't a barrier to playing well or something

I have a point in there somewhere

Even the skillshots are more about mindgames and positioning than mechanical skill, really. Was watching a TreeEskimo game and he pointed out that he threw a Nidalee spear behind a retreating champ and to an angle because if they went back, they would die to the spear, but if they stayed or moved forward, he could auto-attack and finish them off.

One of my favorite things is harassing with fully charged Janna storms. I love to play mind games, like running at a diagonal angle across the lane and setting off the cyclone at an opposite angle, and they often retreat into the tornado.

You summed it up better than me

Which is why I believe skill isn't champion dependent

And therefore, every champion is easy as hell to play, but what you do with your macro and smarts is key as hell

You might be the best at microing X champ but if you don't understand the macro/mental aspect of the game, which has infinitely higher of a skillcap, you're going to be bad at the game and lose 10/10 games

    bet.

The input is super easy to get a hang of so you're able to have your character react exactly how you want in just about every situation. There's barely ever stuff where I go "dang I intended to do something else" like I would in a fighting game (i am bad at these) so theres not many instances where I go "well fuck that is the games fault" instead of "yeah, I suck"

Also I have gotten pretty ok at dodging most skill shots. Juking skill shots is a "hobby of mine"

Pretty much this. I find the easiest way to dodge skillshots is to force them to use them. Putting yourself in a situation where you appear vulnerable and coaxing them to attempt to hit you with it then you wait for that split second where their movement pattern changes right before they fire and you move out of the way and counterattack.

Works 80% of the time when I do it that way. It's like it's own little minigame. Corki rockets are the most fun to dodge because there is a very noticeable animation right before the rocket fires. Of course dodging skillshots that go through walls is almost impossible so I just always make sure i'm moving to make myself a hard target in any situation.

I win a lot more than I lose these days, a lot more. Sometimes I get bad lose streaks, but I always come back with an even bigger win streak. Luckily for me, I started playing with PA after I learned pretty much every champ i wanted, so i rarely go into a PA game not knowing the champ I'm playing. Also, I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've surrendered in PA games, it just doesn't happen often, probably cause I'm in the game so theres no need to surrender cause we're obviously winning cause I'm present, regardless of the hero comp, so I guess I'm biased. I can understand how it would be frustrating not being 30, and playing with a bunch of people who have been 30 for some time with hundreds of games under their belt, sometimes, you just have to know when to give up, especially when you're playing with 4 other people you play with a lot. Why bother playing out a game that you're most likely going to lose, when you can just as quickly start a new one? I know for me, while I am a try hard and absolutely hate losing, sometime it's just better not wasting time against a team and just starting a new game.

Also, Reginald is making an awessome awesome guilde, that every one should read, about a lot of stuff. Yes, it has a tier list, but it's a well put together tier list, not just who's better overall, but who's better at what roles, good laning duo's, ect. every shud read it rite now.
