I go to an art school, but have no artistic talent. I'm actually majoring in video game design and development, yet the school wanted me to take a bunch of drawing classes. On the plus side, I did get to dabble in Photoshop and Illustrator.
For laughs, you can check out my final project for a digital design class:
I was just thinking about the 5rr and 7rr and I wondered, if Protoss just teched straight to Robotics (1 Gate, Cybernetics Core, Robo) could you possibly get an Immortal out in time for the rush?
In all probability, if getting the Immortal out that fast is even possible, you wouldn't have anything else and the Immortal would just get slaughtered, but I want to test this.
It is possible yes, its what I do when 5rr/7rr is being telegraphed (zero or 2 lings, no expansion, 1 gas). This is with Gold Zerg so its possible it can be done faster, but I usually have 1-2 stalkers, 1 zealot, a sentry and an Immortal off 2 gate+robo (gate, core, robo, gate). If it comes and I hold it off, one or two production cycles later I counter usually
you're right, the suggestions to micro have nothing to do with macro. the fact that he's saying that "I still feel as if his units were way better than mine.", is an indication of a macro problem. He ran an MMM ball with 1 medivac into more than one sieged tanks. Yep, yer gonna lose that one.... And why didnt you produce anything out of the factory on the way to medivacs? Macro again. He pushes back with Thors and tanks and you feel like your units are weaker? Hrm, I wonder why that could be.
The only exception to the "don't attack sieged tanks on higher ground with ground units" is "take a handful of immortals, and an observer to spot and blow the effing tanks away".
But somehow, I have doubts that he would have had the money to pull off that protoss strat, either.
The reason I ran my marines up the ramp and into tanks is because I'm an idiot, and I have gotten used to winning matches without having to scout. Starting to learn that.
I should have upgraded my factory when I saw tanks, but instead I kept building helions.
And I need to learn to continue macroing while attacking. I have all unti producing buildings hotkeyed, and generally build while attacking, but sometimes I will get supply blocked as I'm sending my guys in.

well, you sound like you are looking at your own play in a critical light. good job. go grab sc2gears, and start looking at your replays in a cold numeric setting. Do you produce as many peons's as your opponent? Do you put as much money/gas on the ground in the form of an army? Does your opponent generally put more units and upgrades in play?
Reviewing the actual games helps a lot, reviewing them in a different format i.e. I built 23 probes, and he built 70 drones, no shit i lost.... helps.
Also, the "zerg timer" program helps on reminding when to build another scv
I just played SC1 for the first time since first playing SC2. God damn, the pathfinding in that game is comparatively atrocious. Also, a lot of other things.

well, at least they kept with tradition and made immortal, ultra and archons pathing shitty in SC2/
(I swear that there is one old drunk guy in charge of all pathing at Blizzard, as they have had pathing problems with certain unit sizes in EVERY game)
Mostly just puttin this up to show I'm not dead, as that's always a legitimate worry to have when collaborating on forums. It's not a full revision, because eventually we'll be doing "Hospital1 vs Hospital2" with Joe K and Helpermnky as an undercard.
As always, criticism is very appreciated. I'm most concerned if the font and fontcolor on the added text at the bottom looks nice. I didn't ignore the last batch of criticism because again this is mostly a not-dead check. It'll get done when I change the matchup text (once we know which hospitals it will be).

Hospitals are set.

Now, if only I can get him to say his name backwards.
Yeh, Trus, you deserve to be on the card and get yer name out. If you want to be modest about it make it "EGiNcontrol Along side Trus", but your name should appear on the card.

Sc2ranks breaks everything down into league Bronze/Silver/Gold/etc.
So yeah, 50k diamonds in NA.

Joe's Stream.
And for the fun of it, this is the full tally it shows me
Total: 2,165,198
Russia: 74,753
Taiwan: 123,855
SE Asia: 103,086
Europe: 621,991
Korea: 372,825
NA: 833,153
Latin America: 35,535
I'm not found anywhere, though.
I found myself by doing the 'Battle.net URL' portion
I'm relieved, as even with my horrid 16% win ratio, I'm still in the top 58% somehow
