Do the first couple quests in the western end of the zone, they will take you to the Speedbarge, and you will get both a boat and water-breathing/underwater speed in the zone.

And I don't understand this....mainly because I have not logged into the game but... why take out the portals?
Also, it seems to me that Outland is kinda doomed to be a wasteland for players? In and out with no looking back?
The portals are gone because they'd rather not have players use old content for their main hub. They've been replaced with class trainers and an AH, so you'll have easy access to those amenities while powering through Outland/Northrend.
And of course Outland is going to be neglected. It's two-cycles-old content. Maybe the next expansion will be World of Warcraft: Another Burning Crusade Guys Srsly, but until then it'll just be for blasting through 58 - 68.
So due to "security" issues, I am forced to download this 5 gig patch (yeah its been that long) and whatever else follows (currently going 3.3.x to 4.0) on a middle eastern ISP that I am using a VPN through to Canada.

Starts patching, at 3% it discovers that files are corrupted.
Ok, I'll run repair....oh that didn't help at all.
Reinstalled wow from battle.net to avoid repatching fucking everything and it worked.

Joined a Black Temple pug so that I could finally kill Illidan while having the stupid quest in my log so that I would get my necklace that would teleport me to Black Temple to make farming Anzu simpler now that the portals are gone.
Naturally because it's a pug, things go stupid pretty quick. However, they are made even more stupid by the fact that yesterday's patch has caused many of the mobs in there to have a 60K damage AoE attack. Yeah, that pug fell apart pretty quick.
Well shit, Fiery Core and Lava Core turn-ins are now 2k rep a piece (up from 500) for Thorium Brotherhood. Kinda wish I knew that before I started turning them in earlier in the week

It was expensive because it was horde only and dropped rarely from enemies around where dalaran was. It was waaaaaaay more expensive for Alliance because only horde could kill those mobs and had to be transferred via the neutral AH.
Up to duskwood now from my human hunter I made earlier today (level 25 in 6.5 hours) and the redridge quest line (main one you'll know what it is when you do it) was sooooooooo freaking good.
Anyone know if the Blizzard call center is open every day of the year?
I've now tried to pick up the bundle with both of my debit cards and two different credit cards and it fails saying there was an error but not listing what the problem is. However it successfully charged my online debit card today for the subscription fee.
I'm assuming at this point something has to be fucked up on my account on their end.

My main is alliance now because I play with friends. But seriously to me, Horde has all the npcs that I can give a shit about. I was genuinely upset by the end of the troll start area. Bro-tier npc.

Has anyone else heard reports of Deathwing being active on live yet? I was in Blasted Lands, and assuming I wasn't getting trolled, several people got the achievement. I didn't though.
Edit: I didn't see Deathwing, nor got the achievement. I'm just asking if anyone else has heard of such things occurring on their server, because achievements can be faked, and thats about the only evidence I currently have.
So, are the napkin-sized cloaks gone? I got some low-level quest reward cloak in the Tauren starting zone that I noticed was kinda long, but I figured it was a reward from a new quest so it could be bigger than normal. Then I started a blood elf and picked up a preexisting gray-quality one:

Also, in silverpine forest there is a taxi service that go from the camp at the top of the zone to the lower camp at the bottom where the main battle is, best bit of detail is that the carts coming back up are filled with coffins.

Like I've seen some green NPCs, and boxes that are black/white checker boarded every now and then.
