This is another dumb question
I don't remember but I saw an achievement for either a guild or personal for having a character to 85 of every class? is it in the game or?
Its a guild achievement, which won't be implemented until Cataclysm is released.

Yeah it'd be hard to have a personal achievement like that until they start sharing achievements across accounts.
I am a bad altoholic which is why I kind of want extra character slots because my main account is full and my 2nd is going to get cleaned up but still have 5 or 6 slots filled
As a guild achievement I guess I need to talk either my brother or myself into the painful roll of a shaman and who gets the druid since those are the two I lack on the horde but have allaince
Gnome priest up to 34. Really not all that impressed by the changes as far as feel. Was sort of hoping for more drastic changes in landscape and mobs. Feels pretty much the same with some water here or missing there. The leveling/questing is by far much more streamlined though. However queuing for randoms as I go (with healer queue times) made me end up skipping almost all of Menethil and Arathi, probably Hinterlands too.
Really strange being decked out in entirely blue gear while leveling.

The whole experience feels pretty different to me. Not really sure what you were expecting.
The NPCs have mostly different stories, the changes are sometimes subtle, but the whole world is distinctly different.
Apart from steampunky grunts fucking up the environment with napalm, Stonetalon is awesome in so many ways. That general dude handing out promotions on a whim, the quest xp reward doing a 1000-1500 jump, the "under siege" feel. Loving it.
There is also a guild achievement for having every single race+class combination at 85 (ie. Human Warrior, Dwarf Warrior, Human Rogue, Dwarf Rogue, etc).
It used to award the 8th guild bank slot, but I think they changed that to guild level 25 now. Can't remember what the new reward for this achievement is.
Whoever said THAT must have been praying it'd be that way. You'll ditch your Tier 10 in the first zone, possibly even your 25-man Heroic version. Certainly the stats might not be perfect right off the bat, but considering your health is meant to sky rocket... if you're dinking around with what you had in Wrath you'll get hurt.
There is absolutely no way you'll be replacing your heroic 25man gear in the first zone, and quite frankly the boosts to your health you get from leveling will be more than enough for questing up until the point where you actually encounter gear that's an upgrade.
Heroic 25man gear, depending on how good it is, can last up to halfway through Uldum, and around halfway through Deepholm you'll start have to comparing some pieces.
Someone was linking a blue level 80 BoE of ilevel 312 last night in trade. It had a suffix, like it was a mob drop. Was trying to sell it for 10k, and was getting offers.
Having just looked at MMOchamp they had a blurb about how the new version of Atlasloot stores the items in its database without having seen them so they probably just linked out of that.

From what I heard yesterday, there's an exploit to get into Uldum and the mobs there drop BoE blues.
Tirisfal is giving me blueballs. There are a few quests that are pretty great, like the murloc scaring and worgen tracking ones, but there are way too many kill x quests.
And now Blizzard is doing exactly the same fucking thing they did with my last server+faction transfer: the server change goes through, but then they keep saying the payment method (which is the same CC I paid the server transfer with) did not go through.
Which is bullshit. I don't even get any loading screen where it tries to contact my bank; it just goes instantly to a failure screen.
And now I'm locked out from further transfer attempts for 24 hours.
It's really boring, they're quicker/smoothed out but the quests are basically the exact same as they used to be and the zones haven't really changed either.

I'm glad Blizzard has embraced the "one zone, one story" method of developing a zone. Elaboration: a long quest chain that stretches through the zone that you always come back to after collecting goose dicks and such.

You guys were totally right when you said I should wait for Black Friday, I managed to snag a WoW license for the wife for 5 €. Thanks for that.
Now, I want to grab TBC and WOTLK too, but to do that I need to register WoW Classic with the wife's account first (need to go the digital upgrade path, the cheap retail boxes are all sold out). Here's what I'm wondering: if I activate WoW on the wife's account, will her free month start right away, or is it possible to punch in the code and have it activated later?
Neither of us can play right now, but I hoped I would be able to upgrade her account to WOTLK using the current discounted prices, for later.

We're marooned on a small island, in an endless sea,
Confined to a tiny spit of sand, unable to escape,
But tonight, it's heavy stuff.

I knew it wasn't just me!
I have only really played an Alliance character once before in Classic Beta oh so many years ago. My buddy and I have created Gnome Mages to pass the time till Cata opens. A lot of the quests are exactly the same. It doesn't even feel "more streamlined" to me. The Ironforge Airfield line was kind of cool, but still a lot of the same "go kill this shit and come back" that I've done a bajillion times.

Getting the digital versions for $5 and $10 is probably a better deal than trying to wait and get them later to save your free month. At worst, it's a wash at $15 spent.
This is why they need to make a heroic BRD, so I can laugh at the people who get lost in there while I lead my group to victory 8-)
The new SFK, Stockades and Deadmines are great.
Really cant wait for goblin time so I can see them, dont want to spoil it before then.
I have heirlooms and I love the freedom of not looking for upgrades but I almost want to turn off the xp gains as with that and dungeon finder, I am worried I will be over levelling stuff.
BRD doesn't need updating, updating the bosses would be cool for sure, though. What they did was put (or are going to put) teleporters in various places within.

Gnomer has had an update, and it's a lot easier to follow along when you're doing the quests. At the rate I'm leveling my Priest right now, I might not have to visit a dungeon more than 2-3 times before one or more new ones are available. At least while in Vanilla zones, then back to boring come BC.

Which I desperately want, as an altoholic.

Being hated with goblins makes both hard to complete though, and these guys are really hard to get to friendly again.

Some do. It seems those that are a part of chains, do.

Which sucks because the undead are fecking awesome.
Press "M".
I have played horde since vanilla with breaks from the game here and there, I know where the map is and have spent much time in Undercity.
The place is still an absolute pain in the balls, my gigantic head is normally good at the smart stuff but I get lost in there nearly every time.

Yeah exactly, they mix up talents or abilities to keep it feeling like achievements when you level up by giving you something new.

also, is deathwing flying around blowing things up? I haven't seen him yet.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Stockades for instance is now one of the coolest instances leveling up.
edit: is Stockades the only updated instance? I recall reading Mara and ST were updated too. How bout BRD?
