Yeah that'd be fine by me. I'd actually be psyched to have someone pick an odd language like that. Just a bit of insider info though, these guys do speak galactic basic as well. I just don't want to bait and switch you out of a language.

Are we going with the theory that Lex has had prior dealings with these particular Gossam.

Haha, well for what it is worth I like to bring odd races like Gossam into things so learning their language might come in handy. Especially for keeping Oren in the dark.

I am guessing a natural 1 would not do it. I would roll to lower the total as per your new critical rules, but that doesn't seem to be relevant at this point. So I'm not going to do that unless there's some hidden mechanics for "you missed by more than xxx" :P
