Megan was socially duplicitous, trying to turn Artemis toward Kid Flash and away from Superboy. The whole point of Megan is that she is socially open and naive. That and a cute outfit to make people have awkward conversations about Martian maturity ages are pretty much the sum total of her character, so the episode just ditched like 50% of her personality right there.
Although it did seem like
Kid Flash is supposed to go after Artemis, given Old Dude specifically saying to find someone who won't let you get away with anything and her jibe at the end of the episode -- if intentional, a nice bit of foreshadowing with Megan pointing Artemis that way.
I'll only give him a pass on the off chance he didn't know that people were getting electrocuted for information. Cause you know, pretty much evil right there.
Would you tell him? Captain Atom? Works with the league, known hero?
I wouldn't.

Here's a thought: The mole in the group could be Robin, KF, or Aqualad. What if Cadmus got enough of their DNA or whatevs in the little bit of time they were in those cloning pods? Not to make a viable long term clone, but just enough to make a temporary double agent. Granted, at this point it's giving this show way too much credit, but it would be nice if they didn't go for the obvious choices for the infiltrator. No one would ever suspect Robin or Kid Flash to be the spy. Because it's Robin and Kid Flash.

Yeah, I've thought of this too. I'd say my theories, in order of likelihood are:
Superboy, via subconscious programming
Red Tornado, if Morrow found him and reprogrammed him off-screen.
Miss Martian, because maybe she's evil or something?
Robin, Kid Flash, and/or Aqualad, because blowing up a container of blood is not going to eliminate all traces of DNA. Problems: Would Guardian and Dubbilex be okay with Project Sidekick? Would growing/educating be able to go along quickly enough? Superboy took 16 weeks to mature 16 years. Does that mean Robin needs 13 weeks?
As for the writing on this show-- the main issue is the dialogue. This series isn't quite living up to SpecSpidey at the moment, but you can still see Weisman's writing style in there. He's incredibly tricky; there's seriously zero chance that the double agent is as obvious as Artemis.

Man, I just re-watched season 1 of Spectacular Spider-Man, and that show is so good.
see, I think they didn't have robin in this episode because he, you know, hangs out with batman, a fucking scientist that is chill with magic. he woulda just been like 'dude, I hang out with a guy that was cursed by merlin and turns into a demon'
I mean, that episode in batman dealt with robin scoffing at magic a whole lot better

It's not just Kid Flash, everyone's attitudes towards the "debate" were retarded. Everyone was constantly going "oh, well explain this with your precious science!" and calling Kid Flash out for being close-minded because he didn't blindly accept the "it's magic!" explanation, while Kid Flash was being a know-it-all douche who was just spouting off haphazard explanations for everything without even trying to examine the circumstances.
The whole plot was one lone string of people going "You just gotta accept this stuff without thinking about it", as though magic is somehow exempt from any kind of scrutiny. That's stupid.
This was a retarded episode.
Plus, when Aqualad was saying "the mystic arts were used to make my water thing" that's a point TOWARDS Science Can Explain Everything. I mean sure, Magic is REAL, but it's not impossible, or unexplainable. They can use it to create a piece of technology with clear limits and known potential. That sounds pretty scientific to me.
It's like if someone used nuclear power in their gauntlets, and then tried to argue that the truth of nuclear power was some cosmic secret that can't be explained by science. Well, if it can't be explained with science, how the fuck did you make your atomic gauntlets or w/e out of it? People would think they're morons.

Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln
Topo, Aquaman's faithful steed is now a cthulhu like squid man, Gath (the original Aqualad from the comics) was in it, Superboy and Mega almost made out. And BLACK MANTA! Also the Flash family. Heh and Gath casts a spell that uses "The power of the Tempest, which is a fun little aside. Also possibly an allusion to Starro?
This episode was pretty good compared to last week's
Is it just me or did the title of that show Artemis was about to watch sound like "Hello, Megan"?

I'm watching it right now and oh man
haha Superboy you are awkward. I love that he watches static, then when Megan offers to turn it on, he's like "Pshh, No." Then when she offers to let him help with dinner, he goes "Pssh, No" again, and then immediately does it anyway, and clearly she's used to this kind of behavior from him, because she doesn't call him on it. And then Red Tornado comes in, and Superboy's gone back to watching static, and Red Tornado sees what's up and just immediately turns around and leaves.
edit:
Batman playing basketball with Robin just made me cry. "Hand-eye coordination" indeed, Bruce.

By the far the best episode yet. They introduced a ton of characters and story elements, but it didn't feel bogged down at all.
I don't know anything about this Sportsmaster guy. What in this episode confirmed his involvement in Artemis' life?
Artemis got a letter from the Wayne Foundation giving her a full scholarship to Gotham Academy, and it was addressed to Artemis Crock, which is the Sportsmaster's last name (and his daughter's name in comics)
