Yeah it sort of seems like a big part of it would be that the Fire Nation and others invented tons of stuff for war, and only since the wars ended have they really started adapting those inventions for civilian use.

I think I figured out why this episode was better.

Can't say as I'm terribly fond of that art.
Also, did someone say the new Avatar show is gonna be on Nicktoons? Lame. I don't get that channel. Why you gotta put a sequel series to one of your most popular and critically acclaimed shows on your B network, guys?
I've started watching both this and Avengers based on people's recs here, and I'm much more impressed with the fights on Young Justice. On Avengers, there are great visuals, but the fights don't often make a lot of sense. Guys lose until it's time for them to win, then do a power move that they could have done before. Here, the fights usually have a nice amount of strategy and relation to the plot, like in the Amazo episode. I got why they were losing, and I got why they won when they changed their tactics.

Yeah, Young Justice has been great, while Avengers is just alright.
I think I still prefer Spectacular Spider-Man, though.
That show had some awesome fights.
Hopefully Ultimate will be as fun.
It was a great episode, as I said earlier I'm so freaking happy to see a cartoon that actually has real guns for once, not lasers, not blasters, guns, it's a nice thing that so many cartoons don't have since people use to be so worried kids would want them then.
As for the sphere ball, I'm guessing that's going to end up as the Super Cycle from the original Young Justice comic.

The sphere came out of a boom tube, and is obviously from Apokolips based on design. New/Evil Gods' tech is often passibly sentient, so that fits.
From memory, it doesn't particularly look like any established Evil God tech - maybe a really big Hellspore (the bombs which blow open a planet's crust to create fire pits as seen on Apokolips).
I've also read speculation that it might be the show's equivalent to the Super Cycle (a sentient New Gods motorcycle-type-thing originally belonging to the Forever People; YJ used it in the comic).
Also the "Helloooo Megan!" thing is kind of annoying, yes, but realizing that she's just trying to mimic television actually helped in that regard, at least enough for me to get back to a happy nerdbait place.
the six months back thing never referenced Megan being a White Martian. Figured that's when they'd plant it.
With so many references to Martian life, I was getting worried that they weren't going to do the whole Miss Martian is a White Martian thing.
But then they've pushed her and Superboy together so fast that you know they're going to have to introduce some friction pretty soon, and what better, eh?

This episode had quite a strong leap in quality over the previous ones. I still am not really digging the individual characters that much, but the story this week was very fun. And yeah, totally got excited when I saw the boom tube.
I chuckled a bit when Robin and Artemis were trying to tap the fronts of their costumes to get a stealth mode like KF had.
Yeah, I mean, the basic characters are tropes, but I'm liking how they interact, and they have such nice little touches, like both of the above touches -- the chest-tapping and Robin saying "grok" and such. I also liked how Artemis and Kid Flash were clearly interested in each other until they got their memories back -- nice little nod to the fact that they really are good for each other.
Going left to right. Credited as:
L6 - L2 - L3 - L1 - L7 - L4 - L5
L6: Brain
-> Credited as being voiced by Nolan North, he was the one with the rediculous French accent.
L2: Ra's Al Ghul
-> The character Sensei referred to him as "master". Voiced by Jason Isaacs. There's a toy of Ra's.
L3: ??????
-> Possibly Lex Luthor. Voiced by Mark Rolston. Appears to be bald, was involved in Cadmus episode.
L1: ??????
-> Probably Vandal Savage. Voiced by Miguel Ferrer - rumoured to be voicing Savage. There's a toy as well.
L7: ??????
-> Has not spoken yet. Looks like an alien. Any ideas?
L4: Queen Bee
-> Voice actress confirmed as Queen Bee. Spoke in Bialya episode.
L5: Ocean Master
-> Was obviously Orm - same voice actor.
L2, L4, L5, and L6 are fairly solidly known from information provided in the show and knowledge of the DC universe.
L1 has VA rumours pointing to a solid conclusion, but no in-show hints as to who it is.
L3 is a bit of a stretch, but is someone you just think has got to be a member, y'know?
L7 I have no idea, and have heard no good theories.
Any ideas on who L7 would be?
EDIT: On a different track, here's something I didn't notice the first time I watched the episode. When Miss Martian is restoring Superboy's memory, interspersed in the images of the Cadmus episode there was...
...a White Martian!

Hey guys, this show is back on the air and actually pretty good now.
They did a time-jump, and the results are pretty entertaining.
Anyone else watching this here cartoon show for children?

let it go
i enjoyed that mostly
There was a series in the 80's and then one that started in 2003 that has been off for several years. Not exactly running it into the ground.
Would you ever trust Bale?
though Megan continues to grate

Has Superboy been hanging out with the Hulk lately?
