I love Ghostblade. I used to build it all the time on Tristana, I still do occasionally. It's nice having another item with crit chance when you have Infinity Edge. Put it in my first item slot, press Q, press 1, right click on somebody, cackle while they die.

Jungle Fiddles is a little slow, unfortunately. He's safe and can do an early Dragon, but slow.
Aye, I wanted to play Fiddle and figured I'd just jungle him to let my team have an advantage, and the other team had no jungler.
I jungle Irelia normally, but I was completely disgruntled after facing a very well played jungle Trundle who smashed my face in repeatedly in a previous game. Also, I'm one level away from having full AS runes, and 1 more mastery which seems to make a tiny yet obvious difference when jungling with her.
We are loading into a game, Bagel is Tryndamere and their team has 5 exhausts. Let's see how this goes.
Bagel for the love of god get a QSS.
I solved my dilemma by never ever engaging in teamfights, ever.
Trynd, king of the backdoor.
Every time the enemy team came over to me I'd charge at them, kill a single person, die, respawn and do it all over again.

Yea that was an amusing game. I jump with glee when the enemy team just never bothers to exit my aura, me being alive or dead. Pretty sure I killed 3 or 4 of them as they realized how low they were and they desperately tried to run out.
When you pick up the Manamune, your damage shoots up from around 90ish to 160 or so with Aura of Valor on, which is pretty funny against people who aren't expecting it. (Most Sona go AA from Tear and are somewhat ignorable once teamfights really start unless they're really helping people escape)
All of a sudden Sona starts carrying, the Locket and SV money comes quickly, and then you get the Recurve and the pain train begins in earnest.

CDR is so good on Sona though. Like ridiculously good for utility in teamfights. That's my main problem with AD Sona. Also that if good players realize what you're doing you will instantly become the number one focus target (most Sona builds are tanky/CDR so she's not a good focus).
Well I see you have CDR in your build, but it's later on than most Sonas, and that's just so much farm. I almost never get that much gold even on a true carry.

If you're the focus target, that's great, 'cause Sona doesn't need to be anywhere near the fight with her great range and she's still distracting from your true carry who should also be destroying people.
You must not get that much gold ever then, 'cause that's only 6600 gold to get to the SV and on to the pure damage part of the build.
I mean, the only times I don't get at least to that far is when we force a 25 minute surrender, in which case a) you wouldn't have built much anyway and b) the Manamune was still completed and already putting out good DPS.

I barely last-hit at all on Sona in the lane. I focus very strongly on harassing the other champions so that my lane partner (who usually benefits more from gold than I do) can last hit safely. Sona is still such a good harasser even post-nerf.
It's not that uncommon for a 30 minute game to end with me having something like this:
Boots1
Locket
Kindlegem
Maybe running a blue elixir for CDR
It's not that I can't last hit, when I play a hard carry I'm usually in the top two CS in the game. I just choose not to on Sona.

You beat me to what I was about to say, but seriously last-hit more. Your listed items come out to <4000 gold which for a 30 minute game is completely abysmal.
If you're not capable of harassing and last hitting with a champion as easy to do it on as Sona, I don't know what to say. I mean, if this was Zilean we were talking about, I could see having low CS for a short game since he's too busy with other things and hasn't had freefarm time to double bomb entire creep waves, but this is Sona. Your Q is probably going to take out a minion, you can power chord for an easy last hit after your enemies are zoned, etc
Lastly, if your lanemate wasn't going to get the last hit anyway (and he's not going to get them all because I know you're not playing with some sort of last hitting god), any last hit you leave on the table is wasted gold.
Guys, is the quality of solo queue games over the weekends significantly worse than during the week? Yesterday I lost four games in a row with people leaving or afk-ing after about 2 minutes and making it 4v5(we would have won one, but my teammates surrendered out of the blue...). I do happen to bump into the occasional leave, but as I don't usually play on weekends I'm unsure if this was a freaky streak or leavers are way more present sat/sun?

Well, the one problem I will say about that is you're dragging those new people up to your Elo, where they're going to get utterly stomped on and feed constantly. W/L aside, it's fairly unkind and not generally that productive to just throw the guy into the deep end if he's still at the mechanics and matchups stage.

It's not unkind if they
1) Know that
2) Want to play against better people quicker
3) Want to play with me and don't want me smurfing for whatever reason

It's not about being incapable of last hitting and harassing at the same time; it's about ensuring that my lane partner is the one who gets the last hits and I'm not robbing him of them (which also does free up my mana and attention more for harassment).
It varies from game to game. Like you said, you can't leave last hits on the table. If it's clear my partner isn't going to get one, of course I'll grab it. However, as any support character, I like to defer last hits to my duo lane partner as much as I can.
Also, especially with the new Sona, using your Q for last hits is a huge waste of mana. At least pre-big mana item (Locket, or I guess in your case Manamune). Same for Power Chord, indirectly, since you it costs three spells to get one and that's extra damage which could be used harassing enemy champions. Everything is a tradeoff, you know.

Destiny! : Warlock - Titan - Hunter
get the hybrid items like guinsoo's, nashor's, malady (not necessarily in that order)
Codex, Mejai's, Rylai's, Zhonyas, some other expensive AP item
Kills from across the map, one of the few times I pretty much always build mejais.

55% is awesome?
No, but 55.39518900343643 is.
but, 55% does not seem like the right way to look at it.

where do you go to see your total win/loss ratio?
i realize that 806/1455 = ~55%
but, the game is already actively trying to set your chances to 50/50 every game.
- top left of the end-game screen, xaq
I can't see my losses, but it is pretty bad tbh.
my solo queue ranked is a little better, 66% with the champ I care about (pantheon)
After every normal game it shows you your win loss, and only then
ah, thanks
Yeah, this is what I was referring to.
Mine is like 52-point-something percent.

Also convincing your entire team to play gimmick teams is always fun
