    They would not have been able to busdrive it, and yes, Duna could definitely stay dead, its just the attacks on him weren't the "special" types that could inactivate his nanomachines.

    I didn't get any notification that I became more resilient to the mind control though, I guess I should have read narration better.

    I don't think I put anything in there that specifically illuminated this fact, it was just a mechanic of the game. The one thing you might have noticed is that once, the busdrive was Miang, the second time it was Krelian. Each could only do it once was the idea.
