One hour past midnight, give or take a few minutes. Also what is a class 5 Whitebeard, I just have to ask, does it have anything to do with your avatar?
I need some movie recommendations. The more adventurey the better.
The Fifth Element, The Incredibles, Star Wars, How To Train Your Dragon, GoldenEye, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mask of Zorro, Mad Max: The Road Warrior, Krull, Conan the Barbarian
They are goo recommendations, but most of them I have seen to death. But you should keep them flowing, if you feel inclined! You may hit on something yet!
I just checked How to train your Dragon and Despicable Me off my list earlier today.
Well, if I may... some foreign films you may like. Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle are great. (I strongly recommend subtitles for the audio word play you'd miss otherwise.)
(Not Foreign) The Karate Kid 2010 is definitely worth a watch as long as you're not a neckbeard who has based some sort of religion around the 80's version. It has fantastic fighting scenes and a very worthy story. Jackie Chan really shines.
If I think of some more, I'll let you know.
Edit: Watched Moon lately. It's a nice Sci-Fi flick. It's not groundbreaking or anything, but it's a worthy waste of 2 hours. (edit b: and I really don't watch many sci-fi movies at all. I'm more into comedies and spooky thrillers.)
More recommendations, please! I've shot through all of the classics already!
If you want a fucked up movie, watch Bad Guy. It's a Korean film...its...yeah. It made me go "WTF" in the end.
Another movie I like that's kind of action-y kind of not is Last Life in the Universe Japanese/Thai movie (Thai director). It was beautiful and I loved it
I don't want fucked up movies! I want fun, fluffy escapism!
Ronnie, I've watched all of those you listed in the past couple of weeks, with the exception of Moon. I'd like to see Moon, just not in the state of mind to handle it right now.
Oh! City of Ember. It suffered from nearly zero marketing, but it is really a very good family adventure film. And it has Bill Murray! I strongly recommend if it you're looking for something fun.
Edit: Also, Secret of the Cave, another fun film about an American boy visiting Ireland, trying to find out the... you guessed it... secret of the cave.

So, I don't have anything to get into the digital world. Anyone have a decent Wacom they wanna let go cheap? PM me (but don't bother if you're under 50 posts).

a bit late but if mr is still looking for escapism (just thinking of the past year or so not sure how on top of movies you may or may not be)
-sherlock holmes, toy story 3, how to train your dragon, red, kick ass, scott pilgrim
I second The Good the Bad and the Weird being a fun adventure movie. Man I love Baron Münchausen, that movie rocks socks. Doctor Parnassus was pretty good too, though kinda uneven.
Also, people should check out The Horseman if they liked Taken, because it was like, better and stuff.
EDIT: After just seeing Punch Drunk Love I can officially chalk up the list of excellent Adam Sandler movies to 2!
ill admit i probably just have poor taste, but i approached taken as an action flick and it worked for me as such, i approached horsemen as a mystery/horror flick (like Se7en or 8mm) and it was just too transparent how the film would end, the acting was really uneven for me too, and the "message" of the film felt very heavy handed.

Another trip around the sun, glad we all made it. good night and good luck.

I got choked up at the end of that movie. Kid's movies are making me cry a lot suddenly.
I always, ALWAYS quote the portion from the trailer during conversations at random.
People either get it or they don't.

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle (definitely an adventure right there)? Sex and the City (might be too fun and fluffy)...
I'm trying to think. I got a shit ton of movies downstairs....

It was the first thing that came to mind with fun, fluffy and escapism
Which one do you think I did?
