We totally would have had Full of Sound and Fury last week, but I some how took an extra attack after double attack and died during the fight. We only had 2 deaths at the end.

Oh... "Character not found". Lets try this once more... "Disconnected from server".
This has been on and off again for the last week.
Not that blizzard cares but that's enough to make me consider quitting, especially when my wife, 2 feet away from me is happily killing bosses on the same server on the same internet connection
Really... all I want to do is kill some internet Dragons.

so, i put in a ticket yesterday, where as always i was directed to the forums... i came to the forums and noticed 3 of the 4 threads on this topic are "LOCKED" id like to ask why? why are theses threads locked?
He goes on ranting about how this is clearly Blizzard silencing discussion.
Hate: It's the US forum, so I can't smugly reply about how his very rant states exactly why the other three threads were locked.

I thought it was 2 or less deaths. Cause my guild got it last night when I was sitting for the 3rd tank to get a shot at chimmy and I swear they had two deaths.

It is two or less. What I meant was that I died in the middle of the fight(and got a brez), then we had two deaths(me and the other tank) in the "hey, you people gonna die" phase, so a total of 3.
We missed Sound and Fury this week due to similar circumstances. Our rogue DCed mid fight and died, and me and the other tank died at the end, no achievement.
Decomposey on
Before following any advice, opinions, or thoughts I may have expressed in the above post, be warned: I found Keven Costners "Waterworld" to be a very entertaining film.

Um, no, I wouldn't, actually.
I randomed into an in-progress WG battleground where the entire other team* was from the same server and guild and were pretty obviously in their PVP gear. My team was randomly assorted, and I, personally, don't own any PvP gear.
My whole team achieved *2* kills the entire match (and, obviously, 0 flag captures).

Gear specifically designed for PvP sucks.
* Okay, actually, just most of the other team.
To be fair, if that much of the other team was premade to begin with, I'd have been happy to even get one kill, let alone two. You likely wouldn't be getting many more kills if they were in PVE gear.
Happy: Finally got my 200 TB marks for the Drake and I will never be stepping foot in there again other than to partake in the random TB matches.
Oh yeah, also happy: Ret changes are insane. I'm now pulling between 14 and 17k DPS on 5 man heroics on bosses when I blow all my fun little CD's. On one boss, I doubled the DPS of the person in the #2 damage slot. It made me feel all warm and cuddly inside.
Sad Panda: Since I play on an east coast server with the Beasts, and I don't log on until 10:00pm west coast, I'll never get to run any sort of raids. So i'm officially out of things to do on my Paladin... I can max out Archaeology and Fishing, but that's about it...

What gear are you in for ret? I don't understand how this is possible from ret when I follow the same rotation as most other rets that I've heard of, have fairly good gear (heroic/rep rewards), and am hit/exp capped and am barely scraping 10-11k.

Standard Heroic / JP / Rep gear. I use an addon called CLCRet which helps with prioritizing abilities, but other than that, nothing special.
Amusing: DK tanking is pretty weird. Fun though.
Happy: Outland seems to go pretty fast in back to back dungeons.
Annoying: People that don't seem to grasp the concept of attack the skull, and let the tank pull.
Happy: 359 bow (for stats, when I don't have to AoE) and Storm Riders boots get. Now all I need are the bracers from Halfus to be Cataclysmically epic!
HATE: Truly bizarre first raid day of the week. Wiped five times. On Magmaw. A Hunter (reasonable skill, but loud and opinionated) ragequit the raid and the guild as a result.
HAPPY: Suddenly, everything got better. Had an absolutely perfect kill, and Parasite Evening get! Killed Omnotron and Maloriak, too.
We're now slightly behind schedule for the week, but we finished the day pretty upbeat rather than miserable.
HMMM: Have to be very careful regarding the hunter's post-quit aftermath. Turns out he wasn't particularly well-liked, so a number of people were rejoicing, requiring minor admonishment. I do notice that there's a bit of a frustrating line of schadenfreude in the guild, which can occasionally overwhelm tact. Needs to be handled delicately.
HAMUSED : Hunter posted a ranty post on the forum pointing out that I - as raid leader - don't know everything. As if I'm not already very aware of the fact and frequently listening to feedback. Some of the aforementioned people did spring to my defence, which was very flattering.

It's fun how people don't get the fact that the officer/raid leaders are usually fielding tells from 75% of the raid on how we can do things "better." Then you have a handful of folks the get totally butthurt when you don't try their way, so now you have to calm them down and assure them you'll try that if this fails...
What's even more fun is when they totally have no idea what's breaking down so their suggestions are like: "wha?"
Anyway! Happy: The LFD changes they posted.
Hate: That Blizzard has to hold people's hands and force them to not be frothing-at-the-mouth internet dickwads.

How many people linked him the parasite evening achievement after the kill?
What's even more fun is when they totally have no idea what's breaking down so their suggestions are like: "wha?"
The ones that always amuse me are when their suggestions show that they've no idea how the fight actually works. I think I must have told about five or six people why Iron Council can't be got low separately and then all killed at about the same time.
Tell the hunter he's more than welcome to raid lead the next set of raids. Then watch him fail and crack under the pressure.
Raid leaders have to be strong willed, impervious to insults, and awesome. Many of those qualities do not fit your typical huntard. Like, all of them.
He's kidding. Don't do that. Put that guy on Ignore. If he ever comes up as a topic of discussion explain very rationally that his behavior was immature and selfish. He is never going to be invited back. Any loot that was given to him is lost and you cannot risk putting any more resources into someone that can and will leave at anything that sets him off.
You don't have to prove yourself to people that think they are better than you. They will never think you are, no matter how badly you beat them. Just let them go.

Given how he reacted to those people who sprung up to defend me... I very much doubt he'll be back. If he was, I think we'd see mass exodus of some far more valuable people.
I'm self-aware enough to spot when criticism against me is well-founded - which it frequently is - and I know not to try competing in this situation. Just move on with it all.
A guildmate levelling up asked if someone could heal the last boss of Stonecore normal. I was free, so I joined up. 4 people were at the boss. The 5th, was a mage, and he was seemingly running back to the entrance, after having just used the teleport.
Asked him what he was doing; no reply.
Asked him why he was running back to the entrance; no reply.
Asked him if he could just say anything; no reply.
Upon threatening to kick the guy, he did in fact start talking. I again asked him why he was running back to the entrance, and he told me that he didn't know the way to the final boss.
Happy: Did first guild raid attempt on Magmaw. Considering we had 3 people in lower level blues and greens our best attempt was 32%.
Happy: Its a group of mostly RL friends that know what they are doing so its going well.
Hate: We need a few more people to fill in the ranks when we have people call out or run late.
So....
If your on Bonechewer (Horde) and need a casual raiding guild give us a try. We generally run Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-12 Eastern with occasional runs on weekends. Characters name is Udder.
Happy? We were a person short at raid start time... missing a DK dps for our 10th spot. We cleared BWD trash up to Magmaw and ODS. Last spot still not back from running an errand... so raid leader tells us not to flask or food up but we're pulling magmaw.
Magmaw dies.
DK gets back and we run through ODS, Maloriak, Atramedes, Chimaeron, Halfus, and twins in just over 2 hours.

Magmaw was the first boss my friends and I tried. We had to PUG 2 Healers, 2 nights in a row on our first 2 nights of attempts. We wiped a total of 26 times against him. It sucked. The next time we went in there, we 1 shot him, and have 1 shot him since. Take solace in the face that you guys will soon be wiping the floor with the first 5/12 bosses and making good progress against the next 4.
Happy: First Heroic complete get! Vortex Pinnacle, which I understand is the easiest (?), but still. Not bad. Since it was my first Heroic, I was pretty undergeared compared to everyone else I was with, so my average DPS for the whole shooting match was dead last (9k; the healer doesn't count). On any given fight, though, I swung between about 7 and about 12. I got the Heroic Billowing Cape out of it for off-spec, since the bear tank didn't want it.
I missed the mage's instructions to get under the lightning triangle on the last boss, since the other party members were telling me that I'd be responsible for clearing the magical roots, which sent me into my spellbook and talent tree to confirm that I couldn't do that unless I was spec'd Holy, so I died when the thunderstorm started.
I'd also died previously when attempting to CC pull a pack of badguys, earlier, and the whole group ended up wiping - turns out CC doesn't work when they're standing in the lightning triangle things (ooh - foreshadowing!), so the Mage and I both missed our CCs on the spellcasters. We got around it by having the DK DPS Death Grip one of the melee mobs, which failed, causing them all to start running in, and *then* we CC'ed, and then we beat the hell out of them.
Really enjoyed the whole run.
The group then stuck together and we tackled Throne of the Tides, which went well, too.

Magic deflects from anything inside the lightning pyramids, the tank should have range pulled up the stairs so they'd los and chase after him, giving time for the magic CCers to CC. If the tank doesn't know what he's doing there and the magic users don't notice the buff that appears on any mob or player inside the lightning pyramid that says magic is deflected from them then that pull (or one of the earlier ones where they patrol through a pyramid) will definitely cause a wipe.
And yeah, the roots on the last boss just require you to be midair when he finishes his cast. Even so, the healer should be the one in charge of dispelling magic, not a dpser.
Speaking of dispels, I always forget which class has what and which comes with a spec outside of knowing that healers can always handle magic.
Hinteresting: My first real Guild Master responsibility cropped up. An officer from a better-progressed guild whispered me asking for feedback on an ex-guildie... the guildie in question being said ragequit hunter from yesterday, who had applied to them.
You'll probably be pleased to hear that I was honest and professional about it. Although I *did* have that voice over my shoulder telling me to embellish the stories, and while I managed to ignore it, it was a challenge!
Happy: Our healers. Are. Awesome.
Raid start, and we had an almost-full group - but one of our priests couldn't make it for an hour. Which left us with... four healers. Two paladins, two shammies. On the understanding that the missing healer would reappear, we dived into BoT, hoping to stall on trash for a bit allowing time for the priest to get online.
We made it to Halfus, still with a while to go before the healer was due online. So we thought what the hell, we'll try it anyway.
And oneshot him.
We considered it one hell of an achievement a while back when we scraped through with five, but four felt phenomenal. Fireballs, haste and AoE were the drakes.
Happy2: It's great to be wrong. Later, on Ascendant Council - now with our fifth healer, although our first kill was with six, so we were still nervous; we said we'd have a few pulls, see how it feels, and if we stick with it, flask up and make a serious push.
Third attempt, no flasks, and a reasonable transition into phase 2, but I didn't keep an eye on relative healths and when I looked again, Arion was on 28% while Terrestra was still on the 50%. As I called to stop, we hit the phase transition. I said "That's a wipe" but another officer asked to push on to see how it goes (she'd not seen this far into the fight before, anyway).
Elementium Monstrosity was on something like 33% when it spawned. And, well, I don't quite know what happened, but it got to 0% before we all died.
I don't remember the exact percentage, but according to WoL it took nearly 23M damage to down him.
(And I did, of course, humbly announce afterwards that I was an idiot :-)
Happy3: Conclave of Winds last (only a short while left, not much time to do anything useful with Cho-gall). And the two potentially BIS tank rings drop. One for me, one for my DK cotank. Awesome.
Hope: Cho'gall is cleared, and we've got two raid days left. We've finally got an opening to work on him properly.

Wow, you guys are like the Horde equivalent to our guild. Casual raiding guild, bunch of friends from outside the game, facing the same problems with a small group, even the same raid days AND times.
The only difference is that we've been in the raids for awhile, so its like reading about my guild five weeks ago.

Happy: This was also my 10th rare, so I got the achievement off of it.
Happy: Oh yeah, my next solve for Tol'vir? Also a rare.
Hate: It's not the mount, its the bug swarm amulet.
Wow, you guys are like the Horde equivalent to our guild. Casual raiding guild, bunch of friends from outside the game, facing the same problems with a small group, even the same raid days AND times.
The only difference is that we've been in the raids for awhile, so its like reading about my guild five weeks ago.
Atramedes at 80%, then 50%, then 80%, then 90%, 80%, 80%, 0%
Not sure I'd be that happy about those results personally.
What was causing all of the early wipes?
