I'm not at Mayo yet, I'm still in Alabama doing the whole final exam thing for lawschool. Right now I'm ironing out the details with the surgeons and doctors on how to proceed forward and when I meet up with their schedules. Right now the most likely thing is that I go up there around the 20th and fly back around the 23rd. Unless there are weather delays or by some miracle my surgeon decides to take a day off his vacation to view my MRI scans, I won't be admitted into the hospital proper until January. I think right now the 4th is the first open day that my surgeon will be available on.
And the Mayo Clinic is not on the Child's Play list. I noticed this last year when I was in there on Christmas day, and I do not see them on the child's play map right now.

The first visit, which will be around the 20th, is just to have an MRI scan done. As far as I am aware, there are no MRI technicians in my area that have the experience and the equipment needed to do the kind of scans that are required to check on the fistulas. Depending on what my doctors say tomorrow, I will hopefully be flying back before Christmas. If my surgeon is not willing to discuss the test with me over the phone, I will have to stay in Rochester until the 23rd to see the 'backup' surgeon who will be available to meet with me in person and discuss the test results. If that happens and they don't need to do a scope, I will fly back either the 23rd or the 24th, unless there is a snowstorm that keeps us from flying out (which happened last year. My father, the crazy man that he is, rented a car and drove us from Rochester to Minneapolis where we caught a later flight out).
