Whoever designed Obsidium Ore should be raped to death by a pack of rapid barb-cocked wolverines.

I've now decided this is too good for the kind of scum who designed the mining/blacksmithing system.

Turns out, you need fucking Obsidium for almost any recipe you make till almost max blacksmithing.

I'm SWIMMING in fucking Elementium Ore (the Saronite equivalent) but I can't level my BS because all the recipes also need the cockblocking rare-as-shit Obsidium.

Isn't Obsidium the Cobalt equivalent? So ... isn't this stuff only rare because everbody mines it right now? Or am I missing something?

Obsidium is the Cobalt equivelant, but it's rarer. It only spawns in 2 zones and not even a ton there.

And you need alot of it.
    Esh wrote: »
I haven't had any trouble finding Obsidium in the starting zones so far. I'm sitting on about 60 ore just from questing and chancing on it.

    60 is nothing. That's like ... 5 points, tops.

Remember, it takes 4 ore to make one "Folded-Obsidium Bar" and most recipes take between 3-15 of those. It works out to ~4 per skill point, or 16 ore per skill point.

    Goblins aren't jewish?

which of course ignores that in the popular consciousness, the 'jerseytalian' stereotype is the jewish stereotype (although moreso for women than men.)

I also don't really think it's honest to gloss over the "two-faced moneychanger" image as though that also hasn't been a jewish stereotype since forever.

How are the goblins two faced money changers? They are war profiteers who are good with money ruled by royalty based on who did the best at making it. Now I don't know a whole lot about jewish people but I'm pretty sure they have some kind of religious thing they adhere to outside of money.

This is a bit weird to me. The term guido itself is a long-time racist slur, specific to Italians.

Also, goblins do much of the same in Harry Potter I think, and I would never dream of connecting them with anything Jewish.

WOTLK had the same thing. The low level mobs in Northrend drop almost no cloth. It wasn't till you were running Heroics all the time and had nothing to do with the stuff that you became awash in cloth. And even then, it was still limiting if you were a tailor.

They've been trying to avoid the BC problem where cloth is so common, you vendor it just to get rid of it.

Well, it's like this. I can't download it here on my college campus/dorm, because they block all WoW downloads, though you can play it if it's downloaded, so I had to convince my dad to take me to a coffee shop for like 4 hours so I could download it to a playable level. Before we left, the download added like 5.3 gigs on top of the 300 megabytes that were left to download, but, it was only a short while until the setup files it had added were downloaded, and I could play it fine again. So I went back to my dorm since my dad's time was running short. When I got back, I started up the launcher... and the 1.8 gigs that were in the available section before were inexplicably in the setup section, so the Play button is grayed out, and because I can't download it on the campus, I won't be able to play until I go home or can convince someone to drive me out to download this 1.8 gigabytes of setup AGAIN.

I'm honestly not sure which female goblin jokes and emotes made it to live, but the stuff that was up on the beta server fit the JAP stereotype so well that it's impossible to believe they weren't aware of it.

That there are enough similarities between that and common italian stereotypes may make a difference for you or it may not, but this idea it isn't there is just silliness.

Now I'm lucky to find a stack of Embersilk in an hour of killing something, which is horrible for leveling my tailoring so I can get gear to do dungeons because herp derp normal leveling dungeons have ilvl requirements.

Like, I'm healing because the DPS queues are completely fucking barmy (<2 minutes for healers, instant for tanks, and thirty fucking minutes for DPS?! :x), and some DPS shit drops that I want, do I need on it in real fuck-you-got-mine style or what

I have tailoring and when I was running an instance last night I noticed that occasionally I would get a loot with just 1-2 cloth on them and this was in a 4-5 mob pull where I also got a normal loot, so maybe it is still working? It happened a couple times and I doubt someone was leaving cloth on there.

I feel like dual spec is so ubiquitous at this point that it doesn't matter. Healing one day and DPSing or tanking the next isn't restricted to people whose respecs are getting funded out of the raid bank anymore, and the difference between "healing" and "dps" hybrid caster gear is so marginal now that it's barely relevant. I say if it's an upgrade, just roll on it.
