Revive Eve isn't that new, either in EU or US. It's just fairly niche. Wickd was talking about her either last week or the week before, as was one of the other CLG guys.
Getting Rank 1 is more a matter of dedication since even at the high ELO, solo queue ranked is still used as much for experimentation as it is for serious comps.
Basically, if you consider the riot points you get in the package to be 'refunded' (as in, money you would have spent on something like skins or whatever) you get 20 heroes, runes, and a skin for like $3.75.
That is a pretty good deal. I probably won't go for it, since I'll likely never spend $20 worth of riot points, but I get why some people would.
Honestly, even if nobody else wants the second copy, I can just put the extra riot points towards that second champion bundle and I'll be pretty much set.

Last night Phreak popped in on Roku's live stream. Roku divulged his plan to secretly choose Mundo to play as Nox because MUNDO GOES WHERE HE PLEASES and needed Phreak to back him up. I'll be curious to see what shenanigans we see tomorrow night.
I'll say it again, but I honestly don't see why Ionia would ban ANYONE ELSE other than Rammus. Morgana might be the more knowingly OP of the lot (and she's not anymore so yeah), but by banning Rammus you deny Nox a good tank AND a good jungler - two things Nox doesn't have much with in the first place. Hell, banning Rammus pretty much forces Nox to pick Shaco and Singed to compensate in both areas.
I agree, and there is no singularly strong ban against Ionia. I think the best Noxus ban is Shen since it forces them to decide between Amumu or Udyr for jungling; Shen's too good of a laner whereas the latter two are lackluster until level 5-6. It also stops the Soraka/Shen double-global-ult during a teamfight.
Speaking of Soraka...I want to say the MR passive can be huge since only Kog/MF are physical-based and I doubt Noxus can afford to take both, but even as a counterpick Ionia needs to take Soraka as the last overall pick or Noxus might grab Katarina. As a counter, Noxus could leave Shaco open until their last pick.
Also, the champs Noxus can take is BS since they have Rammus and MF but not Warwick and Dr. Mundo. What hogwash.
Forcing Noxus to pick Shaco and Singed isn't a bad thing, since Noxus probably *wants* to pick Shaco in order to counterjungle Amumu. Or if Ionia doesn't even pick Amumu because of fear of counterjungling that's even better.
I was mid against Fortune...bad idea on Fortunes part!! She couldnt harass me at all really.
She did that stupid ability where she rains bullets at me...guess she, SHE STANDS STILL when she does that. I use my hold and do my combo and she is 1/2 dead.
I am having no trouble really at harassing unless it is against a Malphite + Morde (I HAD BOTH in a top lane, couldnt do anything until ganks came and helped).
But really against anyone else it is cake. Eve + Swain = good luck enemies. Panth + Swain = gnite enemies
Swain is just all around awesome. Team fights I usually sneak around the back and either melt the carries or have the carries run away.
I soloed a Kennen trying to gank me and whooped her butt.

The recommended items on him are all real good too. I usually start with the Doran Ring, start making Rylia's, throw in my boots 1/2 through, then just continue on from Rylia to Deathfire. If it goes longer, I tried Will of Anicients one time and it worked well.

Anyone besides me find it irritating that Riot hand picked some of their favorite people to play and didn't open it up as a contest/drawing to a larger audience?
What's wrong with allowing anyone in the top 1500 or so of the solo ladder to apply to play in the event and picking randomly from that group?
EDIT: I've been enjoying building my Spirit Visage and Will of the Ancients as my "core" items. Ideally I'd throw in a RoA or Deathfire depending on how much wiggle room the other team is giving me but I'm not against switching that RoA to Banshee's or Thornmail if they're AD happy.

My thing is that if you want to try your troll/ unconventional build that is 100% FINE. Just let me know BEFORE we get into champion select, because maybe I don't want to be one of your guinea pigs.

Swain fills a pretty neat role of offensive disabler while having sweet survivability. Also he has a great voice.
Although now that I think about it, Anivia is somewhat better at filling that role. Short cooldown stuns, a large slow, a flippin wall. She dies a lot easier than Swain but she has huge range and a 2nd life to compensate. That and more damage. I feel sad now..
I have just realised why my solo elo has taken such a hit recently now. I got bored of playing Vlad/Galio every game and started going as Twisted Fate / Sivir / Gragas despite not really being good at them. Although last game I went as Janna and our team surrendered while I was 2/1/16 sitting on 17 stacks of Mejais. That was depressing.
I highly recommend /ignore ally the second your team starts bitching at you for stupid reasons. You simply play better when people aren't distracting you with trivial shit like "why didnt u save me jana u noob"

It went pretty well considering I was in a solo lane up against Garen and pre-nerf Sona
I lost the tower of course but at least I didn't die against them

Item & leveling builds for Malazhar? I bought him a little while ago but spent my time learning Xin Zhao first.

Yeah, he's great at his job. It just so happens that his job isn't something that every team comp needs.
