    So while I was at work today I found out that one of the younger guys I work with (I think he's 17?) wasn't in today because he's at home recuperating from surgery on his nose. His nose that got broken (pretty badly, bone shattered D:) by some shoplifters he and another guy confronted. Apparently he got bashed with some huge stick, and the other guy had lumps of concrete thrown at him.

    And this is just a week and a half after one of our securtity guards got hospitalised.

    It's kinda concerning for me since the latest incident was in broad daylight, and I finish work just after 9PM on quite a few nights.

    Went for the interview. They have to meet up with one more person, then calling back next week.

    The position starts on Jan 5th. :I

    SO I don't know any company who, if you are already booked in for a holiday will really care that much. Just dint expect to be paid, and make sure you are upfront with them.

    If you get it, can't you just ask to take time off for 15-23 Jan? You've already paid money and stuff!

    Just say that you're happy to take no pay for that week you're away.l

    I love cricket today.

    I did not previously.

    It was funny this morning my secretary asked me And my graduate if Australia was toast and they were both negative. But I pointed out that a lot of first innings scores at the waca just aren't high and there was still a thin sliver of hope.

    Now I'm all, oh yeah, see who's cricket smart? I'm cricket smart.

    Little did they know I was trying to convince myself with that speech as well.
