So there is a new Elder Scrolls game coming out, this is the fifth one!

The one everyone loves is

The one some people didn't like is
bkgd_parchment_w-logo.jpg
(There are mods that make it wonderful!)

This one will be called
SkyrimLogo.png

It is being released in 2011.

    It's a direct sequel to Oblivion and it's called Skyrim. Which is where it takes place.

    Nothing new at all, but at least it's official now.

    i've never actually finished a game of oblivion. i just run around being dumb/awesome. then them dang oblivion gates started popping up and i do a few of those and lose interest fast.

    This, and the expansion was the best add on I've ever played, until AC 2: Brotherhood.

    Edit: Without leveling mods. With OOO and one other mod, Oblivion rivals Morrowind, I think.

    I think I'll get PC for this.
    I usually prefer 360 but with all the mod support this game will have, I think it'll be prudent to go for PC.

    Also, I'm really excited for this game. Like, really excited. I was planning on building a new PC soon anyway and this really gives me incentive to. My current PC was built so I could play Oblivion, and while it has a lot more RAM now and a new video card, the CPU and the hard drives are starting to get a bit old.

    I want some interaction with the Akavir, or some of the other enemies they talk about in that supplemental that came with Oblivion.

    Although fighting dragons will be pretty sweet.

    Elder Scrolls V
    Dragon Age 2

    I'm fucking eating that hype up. Taking a bath in it. Rolling about in it like a fat little piggy.

    Get the epic jar out because 2011 is going to be a good year for western RPGs.

    Crazy thing is that those are the ones I can remember. I know there's more out there.

    I still haven't beaten ME2, the Witcher, or Dragon Age.

    Shit I haven't gotten but half way through Fallout New Vegas.

    Shit is good but I end up getting lost with what to do first.

    So hopefully this'll mean a new engine. Though if they still used the current one I wouldn't be too upset. It'd just be nice to see a new engine.

    See I was going to say that but I couldn't find anything on what engine Oblivion used.

    But yeah. Hopefully they'll switch to a new one, because it is looking a bit long in the tooth. Though if they improved the animation a lot I may not care.

    From what is known it's still the same engine they been using and modifying for years. Supposedly they've invested more into animations and stuff.

    It's honestly came some ways since Oblivion came out. I'm not upset about that because I have enjoyed the hell out of Oblivion, and the Fallouts.
