What was number one? Like I get that it's probably something more mainstream, but that was action movie shit that was cartoonishly awesome, how do you put something above that?

It's been a great few months for fans of odd kicks. Hook kicks, Brazilian kicks, axe kicks, and now matrix style wall-jump kicks. Good times. Seems like some new strikes are starting to trickle in from other disciplines again, it's a little exciting.

JR Smith's dunk against San Antonio. Top 10-worthy for sure, but not above Pettis' kick. And I say that as a bigger NBA fan than a MMA fan.

Although at least JR's highlight also highlights Reggie Miller's dumbassery, so it does have that goin for it.

In his mind, he'd dodged the kick.

It never even would have occurred to him that Pettis was going to do what he did. Benson just felt like he'd ducked out of the way and danger was averted.

I don't blame you man. I chose Smooth, too. If I would have known that Pettis was going to show up as a mystical cage ninja I probably would have chosen him, too.

My main card fighters really let me down last night. I went 5 for 7 in the undercard and 1 for 4 (I picked Cerrone) on the main. The prelims saved me.

It was a tough card to fall behind on points, since there were so many consensus winners. The only bout that didn't have a real majority of people on one side or another was Varner/Roller.

I mean, 59 points is a respectable score, you have nothing to be ashamed of!

I doubt it will be for the Strikeforce Heavyweight title since it's a DREAM event. I've seen a few recent Reem interviews where he said he'd love to fight for the DREAM heavyweight title if they would just create one. Maybe this will be for the newly created belt?

But since Reem and Lashley are Strikeforce guys, it's possible that it's for SF's title.

The only thing I'm thinking of is that DREAM and Strikeforce do have a talent agreement of sorts and it wouldn't be completely out of line to think they'd do something like that.

But, yeah. I severely doubt it's going to happen.

Bigfoot is a really dangerous heavyweight and is a good matchup with Fedor

Fedor should be able to clip Bigfoot on the feet, but if Bigfoot can take Fedor down and do, for example, what even Rogers managed to do (Ground and Pound), Fedor could be in trouble

Bigfoot also has a pretty good submission game. It's an interesting fight for sure and not a foregone conclusion

Overeem vs Lashley is just a mystery though. Overeem is going to murder poor Lashley. If Lashley shoots for the takedown Overeem is going to take that neck and choke him out quick, and if Lashley decides to stand and trade he is going to to sleep

I guess it is MMA though, and anything can happen <3

I don't have anything against Lashley, and the standup from mount in the Griggs fight was one of the worst calls of all time. But Overeem's gonna kill him.

    More Dynamite fights confirmed

    Sergei Kharitonov vs. Tatsuya Mizuno
    Mach Sakarai vs Jason High
    Minowaman vs Hiroshi Izumi
    Hideo Tokoro vs Kazuhisa Watanabe
Gregard Mousasi vs Kyotaro (K-1 rules)

Pretty ballsy on Mousasi's part, taking on the K-1 HW champ in his own element.

Yeah but Mousasi fancies himself a kickboxer, if I'm remembering that right, and HW in this case is being generous. I think Kyotaro weighed in at the recent final somewhere around 225? The official K1 site has him listed at 218, so either way it's definitely a weight Mousasi can match.

According to mmaplayground your picks netted you $235, while XRDD's netted him $210. However, it won't let me view the picks to confirm that.

The other option is to tally all your points from this tournament and whoever is higher, wins.

For some reason I thought it gave a breakdown of the prediction bonuses, and I wasn't able to see them for the secondary league. I just checked the primary league and it doesn't show that breakdown.

So, according to the system...... Oreo was more correct than XRDD.

I'm pretty sure FEG is far from actually being unable to pay fighters. The whole thing about non-Japanese fighters not being paid on time was more due to shady business practices, I think.

Also, I just found out that Manhoef is supposed to fight on the Dynamite!! 2010 card as well. That's one fight that's guaranteed to end in a spectacular finish already.
