@Irond: this is taken from discussions of "infinite lotteries," where a ticket is selected at random from an infinite set. For countably infinite lotteries, there is no constant equal p of any given ticket wining that yields a proper probability distribution (they either add to 0 or infinity). However, for uncountably infinite lotteries there is a such a p (which has to be 0).
I haven't seen the math, nor would I understand it, but this is what people are claiming in print, so I'm taking their word for it. Countably infinite lotteries are a weird special case for probability.

A fun book I read last summer was this fluffy chick-lit novel about going to Italy, finding yourself, getting a new bf. Woman in question had her husband die on her, and then midway through the book her outgoing nun friend disappeared. Oh no!
Then in the last 10 pages she got bored and drowned her new bf in the shower. Turned out she had pushed her husband off a fire escape and had hidden her "friend" in a garbage bag.
I witnessed it all, and none of it has been exaggerated for effect.
Can we flip it around? I'm not clear on where that idea is coming from, so it's a bit hard to try to explain it other than to say "nuh-uh"
