The dude contributed under a million dollars to his father's investment firm, and withdrew tens of millions of dollars. He either knew that the whole thing was a sham, or was a staggeringly incompetent employee.
He basically helped to murder at least three people so he could make a bunch of money, and his family is still probably going to make a few million off of it. I can't even begin to feel the slightest bit of sympathy for a huge asshole like that.

I think a problem with modern democracy is that it encourages short term thinking.
The way America is at the moment, there's a national-level series of elections every two years. It may vary who's getting elected to what everytime, but it's enough to have the Media be stuck in an almost constant election cycle, and if you wanna keep your job you're going to have to spend more time trying to appease voters with gimmicky policies than working on something that will be truly wonderful for all but take 20 years to come about. And even if you set a twenty year plan up, there's always the chance your successors will scrap it as part of their electoral pledge.
Dunno how one would solve this, but eh, that's how I see it.

You can get groups in LFD that are more or less 95% unable to do an instance. I had a grim batol run where the only CC was my roots as a druid healer.
Some of the bosses are seriously over tuned as well. Fights where you have to keep eveyone topped off goes against the design philosophy entirely.
