Ok, so I used to use Trillian and in there it had an option to put the different contact names in different places on the conversation window. I put the names stacked on top of each other on the left side. Basically it let me have a whole bunch of conversations open without an annoying scroll bar to see em all.
Sorta recently I switched to Digsby and I generally like it better, but I cant seem to find a similar option to move the contact names. They seem to only have the one setting, all the names up top and if you have too many you have to scroll up and down to find the one thats talking to you. I would like to move them to one of the sides or even just make the space the names show up in larger, but I cant seem to do that.
Is that an option somewhere that Im not seeing? or do I just have to get used to the way it is?
Sorry, I meant Pidgin, not Trillian. Anyway, I took a screenshot of what I meant.
That turned out smaller, but whatever. Pidgin is on the left and Digsby is on the right. I would like to get the names to all stack up like they are in Pidgin, but I couldn't find that option in Digsby.
Apparently it was a function in alpha releases, but they stopped supporting it and stopped having it be listed in the preferences. You can add it back in by editing a file, but it may cause instability because the code isnt maintained anymore. Might as well try it and see.
