Also Brian is a rad guy and he does rad things and I wanted to see Wilderness Brad.

Great episode. I feel like this is the first we've really seen of the Vantage Point episodes, as it doesn't take place at PAX and it's not a 4th panel episode. Very well done. It doesn't have the signature melancholic sort of whimsy as the 2player productions stuff (if that even makes sense) but it is certainly well done anyway. Thanks.

Penny Arcade is certainly a goddamn enterprise now, isn't it

Like, at the end of the day, it's still about producing a comic, but there's also all this merchandise and PAX and this warehouse and the charity

It's kind of nonsensical how much can come from shitting out a .jpeg three times a week

This episode is kinda funny for me because just this week I got a random package from the store that was meant for someone in Missouri. (I live in PA.)

Brian was very prompt in responding to my email, and hey, I got a free (though way too big for me) Photoshop Hero tee out of the deal. (I might give it to my cousin, who studies photography and is, in fact, somewhat heroic at photoshop.)

I loved the scene with everyone doing the fire brigade signing of the DVD preorders, I can only imagine what the conversation was like after 1500 or so.

It's so interesting seeing the process behind this growing empire.

Alpha makes a two second appearance

and so does django, it looks like

also watching this episode gave me some real perspective on the amount of shit Khoo actually runs

up to this point my conception of his job was a big empty cloud with the word "business?" in it

dude is a straight up CEO

This ep. hurt my efficiency gland.

I'm sorry, but, that work-flow could have been improved (as I am sure it has). However, what did surprise me was the pre-printed prints. Wouldn't it make so much more sense to write some script for 4 or 5 machines to print orders, then order sheets, then have those link to the original master in pile? (you would have to have a bunch of boolean yes/no/if/then instructions to dictate original package size, which is what I thought was a bottle neck to begin with) Hells, the boxes could be hard dictated to the largest specs of the largest item in an order.

I spend too much time worrying about things.

Also, hire me for Australian Distrib. I am the boss.

That was a pretty great episode. It definitely showed off a whole aspect to Penny Arcade that really doesn't get discussed.

    But

Holy shit those cameras were way out of focus far too often. I've been noticing quite a few things like that with Vantage Point so far. They're still interesting and entertaining episodes, but it's irritating.

Ugh. I thought the signatures were under the plastic. I need to be more careful with my dvd.

I like how the original plan for season 2 was "we're out of ideas; we can do day by day stuff" then bam "The Warehouse." Which I don't mind at all.

Yeah, I actually really like the change in tone. It feels less like interviews with Mike and Jerry and more like an eye into Penny Arcade as a company.

As long as we're beating this particular horse, I'll chime in to note that I didn't have any problems with the camerawork this time either. Maybe I would if I went back and watched it with that in mind the whole time, but it didn't jump out at me. The last couple episodes, it was irritating enough to make me notice it.
