I don't really care so much about how many Anzus are around at this point, I really just want the mount now because I set out to get him in BC and have yet to accomplish that goal. That, and I have a score to settle with that bird for dicking me over a hundred times.
Does anyone have a weird problem where buffs are constantly doing the consolidating thing, even though consolidate buffs is turned off?
All the fucking time.
Oh god you can turn that shit off?
I had an awesome encounter earlier. Tooling around the Twilight Headlads, I see an Elementium node. Of course, right as I start banging on it a wild Death Knight appears! He has a hell of a hard on for it. and attacks me. Its a pretty hectic battle, I'm popping my cooldowns and jumping around like a spazzy rogue, all while my roommate, who hasn't played since vanilla, is watching over my shoulder. In the end, I get a massive execute crit and kill him. With 4.6% of my HP left, and a bunch of DK DoTs ticking away. I quickly pop one of the runic pots that I'd been hoarding for far too long, and go to get my hard won mine.

The only way that could be better would be if he hadn't released and saw that happen.

I gotta say, mage spells for each level up have been completely revamped. I don't have food conjuring, de-curse, arcane int or frost armor at 29 on my new worgen mage. Not a bad thing per-se but weird. I do like the portal trainers train all portals and not just city specific ones, and that food conjuring now is, by default, all mana food and always group oriented.
I did heroic Blackrock Caverns and Grim Batol for the first time. BRC had really straightforward stuff, I mean the bosses only had one big mechanic to worry about. Grim Batol was somewhat harder, a few wipes on the bosses, but I gotta say this stuff is still really manageable. Sure, undergeared PuG's are going to have a horrible time of it, but with 3 or 4 guild members at your side and a little persistence I'd say I'm not seeing heroics being too hard.
I wonder if Stonecore will prove me wrong :?
Stonecore sucks.
...when the party refuses to move to the tank during Corborus phase 2 or AOE the shards, or killing the red shards that spawn on the giant trash, or when no one in the group can LoS the crystal storm even though they are humping the pillars in what appears to be out of the bosses sight line.
In conclusion: Pugs. Ugh.

Just had one where I was tanking, had a Prot Pally and Holy Priest DPS'ing, and a regular pants-on-head huntard.
It was painful.
Finished the run though, but I'm not tanking again for a long-ass amount of time.

The hardest content in the game is the Dungeon Finder, followed by Lagnaros, with the Bugs from the Ruins of MPQs trailing in at a distant third, depending on on what trash you have to deal with that week.
Owwwwww. Level 90 elite guards that hit for 100k make it slightly painful to take the usual way into Gnomer.
I actually just got in there yesterday, at level 26, and only had to die once. You can't get past the guards at the top of the ramp that leads down to the elevator without dying, but all of the others can be avoided. Actually, a paladin could make it past even those guards on the ramp by using Hand of Protection and making a mad dash for the elevator.
Amusingly, it's even still possible for Horde to use the meeting stone there. You can hide just out of line of sight of the ramp guards and summon people into the corner by the stone. Of course, then they have to die to get by the guards.
I do nothing but PUG. I think I'm the 2nd best geared Tank/Healer in our guild at the moment. I figure - I can get in more mediocre runs/rep using LFD as a tank/healer - than trying to get people in guild to get their shit together. I mean if we're raiding - sure. But for things like randoms - naw. I'll use LFD. Plus w/o randoms:
"Hey guys let Stay of Execution tick a couple of times so that it's not impossible for me to heal you back to full."
5 wipes later, boss not downed, left. It seems we have trained them too well - it's the same problem with getting people to stand in Efflorescence, lol.
"Hey guys let Stay of Execution tick a couple of times so that it's not impossible for me to heal you back to full."

Well letting it tick once or twice is kinda needed. How many times is a 'couple' meant to be?
Although then there's the achievement for not letting him get ANY ticks off
A couple in this case is "any number greater than 0". If you want the achievement y'all should say right away so I can leave and you can get the shaman healz you need, haha.
Loving Cataclysm content, finishing up Uldum and it's been amazing. I think they may be overdoing it a touch with the pop culture references.
I've run a few instances (84 Warlock) and I have to say I'm starting to develop a new appreciation for the simpler rotations of other classes. With all of the shit that goes on in Cata fights that you need to pay attention to, I'm starting to find myself envious of mage rotations while I'm running around managing CoE, BoD, Imp Soul Fire, Imp Shadowbolt, 2-3 potential CCs, a few cooldowns, and a proc on top of my regular 5-6 spell rotation. It's pretty hard not to fuck up at times.

Stupid Wednesday maintenance. I was all happy because my night to work got shifted from Tuesday to Wednesday this week, meaning I could play a little WoW this morning. And then I see that message when I log on. Alas.
My best funny pug story is about a Lost City of Tol'Vir run with a tank that insisted on ccing everything.
Which meant when pulling the groups of three pygmies stacked on top of each other the rogue distrated the group and sapped the one on the bottom, I sheeped the middle one and then we killed the top pygmy.
Throwing my hat in with the "Maintenance WTF?!". Was really looking forward to playing today as no one is going to be at work. Now ill have to entertain myself with updating computers instead of completely wasting my time.

WTF is this shit, was there maintenence yesterday too? Im out of work sick, and I obviously have nothing else to do at all, and this happens.
Christ I just want to have the opportunity to run my first heroic before people stop doing them. Which is almost already happening.

The maintenance thing that came up is kinda weird. Showed up right when I was getting to the Booty Bay battle on my warrior, too.

Anyone else find it strange that in the Expansion where they really emphasize "Don't Stand in the ____" they introduce healing spells that look very similar to the stuff you shouldn't stand in?

I think they may be overdoing it a touch with the pop culture references.
I have to agree, even the new 1-60 content is loaded with it. It's funny the first few times you see a quest with a reference in it, but when it just becomes the norm it gets a bit lame. Smacks of lazy imo. Then there's the one quest in Hillsbrad or whatever that I thought was really funny, but then I realized it was the game basically parodying itself... which then made me sad.
Don't get me wrong, it's Blizzard and they've always had some easter eggs and little references here and there, but when it seems that every other questline is a reference to something totally unrelated to the game or it's lore it's a little out of hand.
Every time I read one of those quests I see a quest designer sitting at his desk looking at his manager, who is standing over his shoulder making the "stretch it" sign with his hands...

I'm actually surprised they didn't give holy paladins a talent to make consecrate an AoE heal. Seems like an easy one, especially since all of the other healers have a 'stand in me' heal now. Thankfully, efflorescence and HW:Serenity (or whatever it is) are pretty damned obvious. They're shiny and soft and friendly. Healing rain should be fine once people get used to it.
For me, the order of ground target heals that I learned to stand in were Shaman -> Druid -> Priest.
I have a Priest friend and I ask him almost every time. "Is that yours? Should I stand in that?" because it looks like fire to me. Where as the druid one was "Fuck, I'm in green shit/disease/poison. Oh, tree leaves, maybe it's a heal" and the Shaman was "Ohh, look at the pretty soothing blue rain"
It would be nice if they finally fixed things like the flightpoint disconnect bug and annoying fishing bobber thing that have been around since 4.0 went live.
They can hold off on fixing Tol Barad since my faction somehow has control of it again and I'm almost exalted. :P
Though they do need to fix the respawn on the mobs there. For the underground areas it's insane (and especially annoying in D-Block since it has those elites with the long range uninterruptable channeled beam attack), but up in the bases where you have to kill 12 enemy faction npcs it takes forever for them to respawn and sucks if more than one person is there at a time.
Readjusting guild xp and guild rep to not suck would be nice too.

I am like one set of dailys and a win from being exalted. Last game of last night we were defending and lost, because people thought it would be such a great Idea to protect the impossible to save towers and fight in the roads.
And I have a theory about the insane respawn rate in the prison areas. I believe there is code setup so that when a large amount of people in the same area are on the same quest(s) those quest mobs spawn faster. I've done the Daily's before in the early morning, 25 Minutes before the next Tol Barad started and the respawn rate was not bad at all, whereas if I do those quests right after a Tol Barad win during prime time, I can get stuck down there killing shit forever.
There is however, a notable difference between the prisons and the keeps respawn rates at any given point in time.
Also, whenever I lose Tol Barad, I like to kill the Alliance that are doing the Daily's. It makes me feel better. Denying the swamp from them, or even better yet Charging straight to the boss in whatever prison they have to go to and camping him/them there. As a warrior it is great because I can handle the infinite respawn, and it works out in my favor because it in turn grants me infinite Victory Rushes.

If that was a heroic and you finished... I don't even.
Obviously the Cataclysm has caused the maintenance to shift to Wednesday. Deathwing's carnage knows no bounds!
Or maybe something came up because of the lack of maintenance yesterday (and last week). OR maybe some of the hotfixes require it.
Anyone else find it strange that in the Expansion where they really emphasize "Don't Stand in the ____" they introduce healing spells that look very similar to the stuff you shouldn't stand in?
