Photoshop question. Replacing one exact color with transparency

Title says it all.

I need all pixels in a GIF of a specific color replaced with, in this case, transparency.

I'm guessing there's a magic tool that can do this without having to futz around with Magic Wand.

Google isn't giving me much except... other forum threads!

    I think there's a Select By Colour option.
