Ipod uploading alternatives

Is there another (free) program I can use aside from itunes to upload music to my ipod?

    sharepod (though this requires you to have put at least one song on already)

    I think there's a KDE one if you are a linux buff, though I can't remember what it's called.

    I have never personally had any trouble with iTunes but I only use it for iPod loading and not for anything else at all.

    Foobar has an ipod plugin. Anapod is another program.
