squall has gifted me the humble indie bundle and it's absolutely magnificent
and teefour is my secret steamer and has hooked me up with some seriously awesome stuff -- guild wars, plants vs zombies, and something else I think AND has been making fun of recettear hilariously with me and laughter really is the best gift when you think about it.
Interesting. I am able to purchase for myself but not gift. Running Windows 7 64bit on the gaming box.
Was able to gift through Firefox on the mac laptop, Powerbook G4 and leopard aka 10.5.
Is it declining your credit card?
Yes, it was declining my credit card on my windows gaming machine. Called the CC company and they said the attempts were not even making it to their system.
Customer support suggested trying another machine with specific browsers. They also suggested scrubbing some directories. Sorry about the formatting:
A staff member has replied to your question:
Hello grouchy, Thank you for contacting Steam Support. Are you attempting to make the purchase through Steam or with a web browser using the storefront webpage? If using Steam, try the following: If using a PC -Exit Steam, then go to the location that Steam is installed to. By default this is C:\Program Files\Steam directory (this is the default with a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it). -Delete all of the files except for: Steam.exe And the folder \SteamApps\ If using a Mac: -Exit Steam and go to the folder Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam -Delete all of the files in this folder except for SteamApps. Restart your computer and test the issue. Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games. If the issue still persists, try using a web browser (Internet Explorer 7 or higher on PC, or Safari if on a Mac) to make the purchase using http://store.steampowered.com/ If it still fails, try logging into your Steam account and making the purchase directly through the Store interface. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Charter cable is going to be loving this sale. I downloaded over 20 gigs of games yesterday. (witcher was 17 of it)
One thing that I got to work, and continue to get to work, is using the recipient's email instead of going directly through steam. This does it well for large (beyond $10) gift purchases, and I've noticed that at least yesterday's Bully sale ($3.75) was giftable through steam directly.

Entertaining? How so?
In that Its gotten really hard to tell if it really is a bunch of jaded gamers complaining about how bioware is ruining RPGs, or if its a parody of jaded gamers complaining about how bioware is ruining RPGs.

Games in SA has something similar.
Wait. How is Bioware ruining RPGs? Is it because they don't make them in animu style? That's it isn't it?
Apparently I'm a jerk and ignore people, before I throw out excuses and hide behind white knights. Oh, I shouldn't post on internet forums because I'm making BioWare look bad.
List of people who are awesome and got me stuff while I was at work:
Vaamoose: PB Winterbottom
Captain Cthulhu: Bioshock
Wiet: ME2
Squall: for trying to buy me ME2
Ok SE shows itself to be Cocks, Dicks and cool people.

Yeah. It's like a giant joke that's not funny and I'm not in on it. Or they're serious? Either way, it is something special.

something I don't understand is why gamers want to be appealed to to the exclusion of people who don't usually game? why is appealing to more people a bad thing? why not bring more people into the circle? games for all

Provided my PC is working. I think my wife installed some interior design software yesterday that may have crippled the thing. I could barely browse porn this morning.
Seriously, it was like being back on 14.4 baud.
Is... is that a nipple? I think it's going to be a nipple. Wait.... wait... false alarm.

No worries Castle It was just one of the games I was gonna watch for, also to be fair it is on sale just not a daily deal.

That's not a bad idea!
Yes I did.
but also really fun
Entertaining? How so?
And I've heard great things about the fun factor in that game.
I'm really tempted to get it, but I cut myself off. I've already poured so much of my soul into steam for gifts and games as it is.
Something something ruining the game something something dragon effect
Capitalism, Ho!
