((well at least, I'm assuming its chinese))

Can somebody tell me what:

"Jiu shi cao ni ma" means.

Babelfish won't translate any of it.

I'm playing WoW and 6 different people have whispered this to my rogue in the past half an hour.

Isn't 'Cao ni' an insult?

Thank you!

A quick check with a Chinese friend indicates that 'cao' might mean 'stir fry' in Mandarin.

I don't understand it at all, the first conversation I had went something like this, if it will help any.

    Random Person: ni hao
    Me: hen hao nin ne
Me: wo zhi hui jiang ying wen. wo hui jiang yi dian dian zhong wen
(I can only speak english and a few chinese phrases.)
Random Person: Jiu shi cao ni ma
    Me: huh?
    Me: wo bu dong
    (I don't understand)
Random Person: Jiu shi cao ni ma

and then other people started whispering the same thing, weird.

    It's nothing good.

There's a pretty good translation dictionary for Chinese online.

But Urbandictionary is more precise here.

A google search of Jiu shi shows some lyrics, one of which has an English translation which includes the words "You Are." I don't know any Chinese, but given the definition of the other phrase I'd say that makes some sense.

Basically it translates into, "your a motherfucker". Bah I hope I don't get jailed but thats what it really means.

What do you do? You laugh you know. I'm not saying I don't cry but in between you laugh I realize its silly to take everything so seriously.

Are you sure they didn't say 'cai niao'? It means 'noob' or 'beginner'.
