I bought FEAR 1 shortly before FEAR 2 came out because my girlfriend had watched a friend play it and described all these scary things that happened. None of them happened to me. It was so boring. Sigh. Like seeing Alma coming up a ladder at you then she would be gone? didn't see it.
FEAR 2 at least had good graphics and better gunfights. It had some weird ghosts that were kind of unsettling, but wasn't really scary or coherent.
Better plan: Play Singularity or Amnesia instead.
yeah i guess some of the scary stuff is randomized
i never got that one big scare when you're coming up the ladder and alma is at the top, which was disappointing
It's actually when you're going down the ladder. As you turn around to climb down the ladder she is RIGHT THERE where you were just standing.
If you just jump off the edge without using the ladder then nothing happens.

So what I need is a bunch of people who wants to ally with me as Canada. I think if we get Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, maybe a few other nations, we can all die gloriously in an attack on the US.
Who wants to play as Panama?

I realised last night that Greed Corp is 40% exploiting your opponent's silly mistakes, 10% actual strategy, and 50% yelling "FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!"
Does this HoI3 game really require a quad core CPU?
Just like dwarf fortress, it is calculating way more things via pretty sophisticated AI than most games is my guess. If a game in ASCII can bring your computer to a chugging halt...
Anyway, processor is used for those kind of things. The game may not even require a real graphics card.
Thanks for the info NaS! I now really regret picking it up during the sale, but I will probably pick it up soon anyway even if I already have too many steam games.

If you get it, make sure you don't diversify your research too much. By that, I mean don't research something unless you are sure you are going to make use of it. I had Australia research carrier air groups, but now I'm not sure I'm going to actually be able to make a carrier. It is just a poor investment of time.

Peru should be able to take most of it's neighbours and recreate a new Peruvian-Bolivian confederation.
It's one my all time list, but then again it's so recent it's at the front of my mind.
Oh wait, Indigo Prophecy. Obviously. But everyone should play that game. That terrible terrible game. Heavy Rain was terrible too, it was just also fantastic.
alpha protocol is the kid that everyone smiles at in the school hallway but privately wonders how they manage to stay alive
Alpha Protocol is worse because there are people so desperately infatuated with Chris Avellone that they will pretend that it was a good game, even an excellent one. It didn't even have good Writing.
