ARTIST CORNER CHALLENGE 24: FIRST!!!!

It's the dawn of a new year, so you know what that means- randomly running around doing things, claiming yourself as the first person in the world to do them . Not the first person walking in the year 2011? Try being the first person walking with a duck on your head! Or a duck with a walk on your head!
So the contest...

DRAW SOMEONE BEING THE WORLD'S FIRST PERSON DOING SOMETHING IN THE NEW YEAR*!





*Year not specified

RULES:

* One entry per person, per challenge.
* A contestant cannot win more than two challenges in a row.
* Winner gets the privilege of choosing the next challenge.
* At the end of a challenge, the thread is locked and a new one is begun.

    Well I know I'll be before you american guys, and my computer will be accesible at new year... My only worries are the people living east of Europe ending after the Christmas Islands.

    I think you're seeing the part of the circle that was cut off. I used a guide similar to this, where you cut off part of the sphere:

    Its sorta flattened out and shifty. If the inner body guides are any indication, you might want to try tighting up your guide work just a bit, so its a little easier to follow when you get to drawing. Making sure that your guide line is round will get you a round head.

    Perhaps the topic is just too broad? Maybe combining it with a more specific topic would help things out?

    Or just give the prize to the Mustang's TEACUZZI. Which is undoubtedly priceless.

    I just haven't come up with anything that makes sense for the contest. I mean, it could be anything, but nothing comes to mind.

    Challenges never get polls up, never-ending pictures end up ending..
    Maybe we need a new kind of challenge/joint-activity. I propose we try our hands at something similar to 'concept tag' . With multiple choices of what to edit/add to + that it isn't one big mishmash and more focused on single ideas - it wont die out like the never-ending picture. What do you guys say?

    If the idea of the challenges are to give people inspiration when they are stuck, or encourage them to draw something new, maybe we should smush a few activities together so the mega thread keeps rolling. Line art coloring, concept tag, We could have some turn arounds for 3d people to grab, like a collab bank. Then it could essentially work like the doodle thread, and just get an updated OP with the new stuff to add to the bank, and roll on for 90 pages. This would make it so the mods don't have to make a poll, and the interest will be generated by what people want to do.

    It seems like hinging topics on one forumer doesn't generate a ton of interest, but if we had a thread that was just an easy place to go for "hey, I need an idea." and there was a whole OP of say, some of Tams lines, Some unfinished concepts to run on, some comics to complete, we might have a nice thing going. "winners" could just be stand out works that get a nice spot in the new OP for oohs and ahhs.

    Id be willing to write that first OP and try and get some shit from people, if that sounds like a good Idea.
