    the apartment i'm moving into this year is 370 per person. (four person) So that price sounds about right. I mean, I live in a college town that is used to charging less to cater to their poor residents. 850 to split between three isn't that bad.

    i am going to break some hearts and throw out: 350/person landlord pays half of cable/internet and all utils, 3 people in the basement here. fully furnished new tv a little small but totally fine.

    oh ya and those $$ are canadian mmm. this is in london ontario too not some northern slum community

    icing on the cake? he takes off the florida every year and i thought i'd be living here for a sem only since my friend was supposed to have a cheaper place but that fell through so he definitely doesn't know i'm still here. he wasn't going to rent it anyhow since the house is basically for sale as well so i am pretty pumped at this $0/month thing right now

    yeah i'm pretty sure he doesn't come back until we're gone but regardless we lost his number so can't really tell him anyhow.. and if i really wanted i could move out a month before he gets back i have some friends with an open room right now. it would probably be worth the ~1200 i would be saving

    Man we pay $340 a week here and this is just a one bedroom apartment. I miss good old North American rent prices. Vancouver was cheeaaapp.

    my rent is 400 for a two floor, two bedroom, 1 bath.


    also I grew up in Texas and after this semester I hope to move down to Austin, where I'll end up paying much more.

    Cost of living here in Alabama is pretty good. the jobs (especially in bigger cities) pay pretty well too.

    I think Huntsville actually has the highest standard of living in the States.

    I am going to Vancouver next week

    There will be friends to meet and hockey games to watch and good times to be had

    but it will all be over too soon, and I'll have to skip back over to Sydney without so much as a steady job to comfort me. Those will be dark days

    I'm on a pretty tight schedule and we'll be in Hope for a lot of the time (Also on Hornby Island) but man that would be cool. I'll probably be moving back over late next year though, so maybe we can make friends by then
