No asian race likes any other asian race, but east asians will always put aside their differences to gang up on the South/Southeast asians (and vice versa)
Something about skin color really ticks the human race as a whole off
where does the line get drawn?
i know that the vietnamese like to count themselves in the "east asian" spectrum
what about the thai?
what if you had to choose between an indian and a filipino?
what then eddy?
East Asia is defined to me and most other Koreans as China, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, and Taiwan. My best friend, who is Chinese, refuses to accept Taiwan as its own country because, you know, but other than that agrees.
All the rest of them are straight frontin', dogg

philly has some jews. i mean organichu lives there. buy yeah you do not superficially resemble a russian jew it's true.
you're quite pretty by the way. good for you!
Ah, thank you! I figured you'd just look in the "First Friday" bit with the city stuff
mixed-race people have all the luck. you guys manage to dodge so many of those icky recessive genes.
i looked through the first friday part. your snaps definitely come from the nicer parts of philly. it's mostly center city and the university district isn't it?
Old(e) City, which might be part of University City? I'm never quite clear on that part. I normally just go by landmarks and I don't typically see Drexel or Penn signs up in that area. And I think there is only one shot from center city (the city hall building).

my vietnamese friend will be heartbroken
a lot of vietnamese people are pretty pale and definitely paler than most cantonese people.
he liked to rank asians in the following order
japanese > chinese > koreans = vietnamese > filipinos
I have no idea where the word 'schlicking' comes from, but it's kinda... icky-sounding.
it's yiddish
it's gotta be
I don't know any yiddish. Take a gander in my flickr. I am no where near anyone that would speak yiddish.

I only looked in the first friday set, and I agree with will
t-thanks! I put my Flickr (and other stuff up) so that I'd make more connections on those sites. Typically other people put up way more interesting stuff than I do.
A lot of it is really just cultural differences and such, although Vietnamese people definitely have a decent argument, having been under considerable Chinese influence

That could also totally be due to the fact that I was new to the forums and was acting as such? I don't know... it's hard to tell... but I ended up fitting in here better, if only because I ended up spending a lot more time here.
Plus this thread is going to get more activity because other posts require a well thought out argument and generally at least a paragraph of info whereas this thread is rapid fire posts.

the chat thread gets a whole lot of traffic. lately more than the entire rest of the D&D subforum.
but theoretically, SE is meant to be our "social" forum
what is it that makes you guys prefer D&D chat to SE?
I like it when threads spill over from the rest of the subforum. I can chat casually and reasonably about a topic without it getting as intense and sometimes rabid as it gets in the threads themselves.
edit: Also, I prefer chatting with the sort of person who is drawn to D&D. Even if I don't post too much outside the chat thread, I came here for a reason, and that's mostly true of the other dudes in the chat thread.
I lost my wallet, with a decent amount of cash in it. And I found out that I am a flaming moron for turning my heat off before I left Colorado. But I guess no pipes froze or anything? So small catastrophe happened, larger crisis didn't. Still not a great 24 hours, but I'm feeling okay about it.

It moves too fast, and they don't seem to like us (there is a personality difference between the forums, but you know what, that's perfectly okay)
we're all on holidays, though will. Even the most hardcore arguers aren't as into it right now, although we have at least one thread-keen new guy about

I feel more welcomed here. Sometimes I miss the complete insanity of the happenstance and ribaldry forum, but this place is comfortable... like an old recliner.
I blacked out two nights in a row, lost not one but two (polo) jackets, made out with at least one unattractive woman, and sustained multiple wounds that I can't explain (see the top of page 8 for a photo)
It was an excellent bender thank you for asking, how about you my fruity counterpart

This sounds painful.

Thats what the rendition was for.
I started off in SE++ and I felt like I really didn't fit in there... Wasn't really feeling welcome.

I got that feeling too. It feels really cliquey in there sometimes.
